So sad to see Jessica on the flatbed.

Some tool hit me from behind. Was a glancing blow which I think made the damage worse. The right trunk area is completely caved and the fender is crumpled pretty hard. Either the trunk got shifted over or the whole rear of the car shifted to the right because the gap on the left side trunk is non existent. The right side has been pulled away from the from the trunk. I have way more into her than blue book. It would be a pretty huge loss if they totaled her. What do you guys think?

So sad right now.

Ouch...sorry man that’s a sad sad thing to see. Unfortunately though I think it’s going to be a total loss, especially if the unibody/frame is tweaked. I say pull off what parts you can to make some of your money back. Then go to a dealer and get a new coyote ha.

Sorry to see this happen. You might be getting screwed if you have normal coverage. Try and buy her back for a song I didn’t have any collision coverage for 3 years since if it was totaled I would lose the car to the incusrnace company and only get blue book which isn’t shit. I now have Hagerty for an agreed upon value.

What's blue book on the car? If the repair is 60-70% of that it'll likely be totaled.

I've seen worse fixed, but with the current price of 3v, it's most likely going to be totaled. Depending on your appetite for a rebuilt title; You can take the payout, buy it back, and find a guy to fix it for cash. But personally I put my SN95 into a ditch pretty hard, and I wish I would had never tried to fix it.

Well the other guys insurance is going to be the one to haggle with.

Call me weird but I like the 05-09’s better than the newer models.

I was thinking if I keep the car I might be able to find a suitable GT and just swap everything over. Or like someone mentioned fix this one. I never have had the intention of selling this car so salvage title doesn’t matter to me. It just sucks to put that many hours and sweat into her to have some idiot fuck it all up.

Take what ever they offer you negotiate for the loss of extra parts that are easily provable they are on the car at the time of the accident and down payment on one of these.

I may once again own a S197 and if I do it will be a red with white stripes GT500 like this one.

Dam, sorry to hear of that. Any of us that mod our cars is way over Blue Book value. I hope it's repairable.

I'm sorry to hear this. A donor V6 base is pretty reasonable. Swapping out the shell is not really as bad as it sounds. Parting out the remainder would definitely ease the burden.

I'm sorry to hear about this.
If they total it and it isn't tweaked too badly, get the cash, buy it back and find a body shop and make a deal on repairing it.

I hear you about not being picky about a salvage title on a high volume production car. Hopefully it can be fixed and you can get anything else you need touched up while you are at it.

My best bud just bought a salvage title 2014 GT and should have it back on the road for about 12k in total with less than 20k on it.

Motherfucker...
Shit, like this gives me nightmares and just proves I am way to attached to my car. And I haven't done anything mod-wise. I just love this car.

Looks like the frame rails are bent. So totaled, especially being an 11 year old car.
