2019 Northwoods Shelby tentative track schedule

Northwoods Shelby has posted their tentative schedule for 2019. For those not familiar they are a great group to get on the track with in the upper midwest and host some great track events. Usually run 4 run groups and have instructors available for first timers. http://www.nwshelbyclub.com/

Our TENTATIVE, repeat TENTATIVE, 2019 schedule:

Road America: April 27 & 28

Autobahn Country Club: Jun 1 & 2

Road America: July 4-7 (Thursday the 4th is for advanced drivers only)

Blackhawk Farms: August 24 & 25.

We don't see these dates changing but until contracts are signed they are considered tentative. Contracts are usually signed in late December.
We will not be returning to Gingerman in 2019. Gingerman has changed
management and raised the track rental rate by 21%.

We are looking at other tracks to replace Gingerman in 2019. Many of you have mentioned Mid-Ohio as a track you would like to see us run at so that is #1 on the list.
We should have additional information late next month or early December if we are able to secure a fall event date or not.

Received the following from Northwoods Shelby this am.

We were informed this morning that our potential Mid-Ohio weekends are no longer available. The owners of Mid-Ohio have decided to add two pro events during those weekends.

Our 2019 events are:
Road America: April 27-28
Autobahn: June 1-2
Road America: July 4-7
Blackhawk Farms: August: 24-25

Registration for the above events opens 1/1/19 at 12:00 AM.

-Registration for our 2019 events is open.

-Car number changes for 2019. For the last few years each run group had it's own set of numbers, so there could be four cars with the number "1" for example. Due to the large number of you that change run groups on-site we have gone back to once a number is chosen during registration that number is no longer available. So don't be surprised when you register that the number you used in the past isn't available.

-As was the case in 2018 the TECH form is a separate registration. Whether you enter one event or multiple events you only need to complete the TECH form ONCE. If you have multiple cars just enter all the cars in the "Car Information/Comments" section of the TECH registration form. NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE APPROVED WITHOUT A COMPLETED TECH FORM.

-Spring Fling at Road America, April 27-28. Cost: One day $250, Both days $450. Registration link:

-Summer Blast at Autobahn Country Club, June 1-2. Cost: Saturday $225, Sunday $185, Both days $350. Saturday is North Track in the afternoon and full track in the evening. Sunday is South Track. Registration link:
