Hello everyone, new to the forums.
i just recently purchased a 2008 gt, been replacing old parts and just performing overall maintenance, went to change idler pulley i had a bad whine. While i was removing the idler pulley bolt it snapped, was able to drill it out no big deal, went to hardware store got a new bolt, this time steel bolt, bad idea... well i almost had everything in and tight then bolt head snapped.. now i have been trying to drill it out for 2 days, no success. not enough room for my more powerful dewalt drill. not sure what to do? here are some pictures.

Glad you got it out!

Next time try a tap to remove it.

And also when you rethread the hole you need to make sure its square. If it isn't, your pulley will be off and cause issues.

My query is how hard were you wrenching on that bolt/s to break them? I've put mine on dozens of times but I never remember ever torquing it that hard.

What do you mean by square?
