Been looking at the pmas tune req cai for my 2012 auto engine is stock except a vmp 93-91 tune also was looking at a boss 302 intake as far as hp gains would the pmas be a better deal ? I don't race it but would like a little more hp to go with the vmp tunes does anyone have one or the other any input would be great.

CAIs for the 2011+ models are not going to give you much, it's the tune, the boss intake is also not going to do much unless you do additional supporting mods and you rev it to 7700-7900

also, not considered a tech question here, moving to chat.

Looks like the 2018 intake manifold is a better option, Vmp did a dyno shootout, the vid is up on youtube.
Since VMP does your tuning I would see what they think, but out of all the options for cai, pmas does seem to be the best engineered one.

Thanks for your input I did see that and that 2018 manifold puts out decent numbers good idea I will give them a call as they have 10% off them now plus they free tune update as well

I had a dyno tune before I got tune required PMAS CAI. I have stock intake manifold. I added tune required PMAS CAI and was redyno tuned, I picked up 18 horsepower and was about 17 LBS of torque from 3500 and up RPMs over stock air box. PMAS isn't easiest CAI to install but for me was worth it. A lot has to do I believe is going from 80mm MAF housing to 120mm.

Unfortunately do to life I haven't been to the track this season to see 1/4 mile gains vs before the PMAS CAI.

For a cai those gains are pretty impressive and for the price compared to the boss intake and the 2018 intake which I see the prices have jumped up some the pmas is a win win deal
