Hey boys! Just looking into the possibility of getting rear wheel spacers for mostly the more aggressive look. Just wondering about the below spacers and compatibility? Also what sizing I should go with 1" or 1.5"? This is for my 2005 GT convertible that has been lowered about 1.2"

Looking at these from American Muscle;
1 in. Billet Aluminum Hubcentric Wheel Spacers
50003

I currently have these wheels;
Shelby CS70 Matte Black Wheel - 20x9
33902G05

RIP - You will be missed
You do realize that you'll have to remove the rear wheels periodically to make sure that the inner lug nuts (the ones on the axle's own studs) are still sufficiently torqued . . .

Couldn’t tell you what size you’ll need or want, you’ll need to measure and see how far out you need the wheels to go. With that said I wouldn’t want to go over a 1” spacer personally.. I’m running spacers on my factory wheels, I wanna say they’re 1” so surely you won’t need that much on an aftermarket wheel.

I have a set of 1" spacers like that that I bought when I was doing my Brembo swap but didn't end up using, I'll sell them to you cheap if you just want to try them out. At least I think I still have them (don't think I sold them), if you're interested send me a PM and I'll go look. On a 9" wheel they might push it out a little far in the rear though (i.e. enough to catch the fender lip when the suspension is compressed)

I'll measure stuff up tonight when I get home to see if these will work. I'll send u a PM

Aren't those wheels for Mustangs with the correct backspace/offset already?

Correct. They come with a 30mm ET already.... which should just tuck them inside the wheel well. Add any size spacer, and it will poke too much. On paper, it should be maxed out as is. Like Norm sez, the inner lugs could come loose, and you have no..easy way of knowing.

Agreed - not the best idea. Now going from 20x9 to 20x10 or 11.... Now we’re talking[emoji106]

Just read this after I replied to someone else. Thanks for that. I guess I'm staying as is with the possibility of going to 20x10's in the back in the future.

My Shelby wheel offset is +30 and the spacers I was looking at are 1" (25mm). This might be too much?

This would effectively reduce you offset to roughly 5mm.

Are these wheels on the car currently? Why are you looking to add a spacer?

Just wanted a more aggressive look. Thought by adding the 1" space it would give my 9" wheel a wider 10" look. But I see with the offset and all I might run into issues so I'll leave it as is. Possibly get fatter rims and tires in the future back there.

How do you think adding a 1" spacer is going to give a 9" a more 10" look? That something my 5 year old might say. I mean, and I'm sorry if this comes across poorly, but that's just stupid line if thought.

I meant by it appearing wider more aggressive as the wheel would be coming out closer to the fender with the 1" spacer. That is generally why people do this but my offset won't really work.
