Now that the winter tires have come on, the TMPS alert immediately became a bit annoying, so I decided to turn it off.
I also have a TMPS sensor in the summer tyres that starts to get old and the alarms every 80 km.
What you need to do this is:
1. A computer with windows (preferably a laptop with support for BT)
2. an OBD adapter, for example https://www.runns.se/felkodslasare/felkodslasare-ford/felkodslasare-forscan-elm-327-bluetooth
3. Appropriate Software eg https://forscan.org/ (you need to download extra license for free on forscan as well)
How to start the program and connect to the car is clearly described on Forscan's forum.
You currently only have access to 2 modules in the programmed mode IC. and GEM / SJB (plans to implement even PCM,
and then it will be even more intresting)
In error code and service mode, you will get access to all modules so that you can scan and measure all different PIDs, you can also perform service measures
e.g. bleed ABS and test drive coolin fan etc.
Start by reading https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-8dKaS_Spu4Zw4hV_CrKC4tLoP9G8yejqegF1wxIqxY/edit
to understand better how to program
OK, lets do it
Start by enter the ass-build for GEM and change in 726-01-01
It is a bit difficult to explain.
but check 726-01-01 without checksum. (Checksumma are the last two last digits)
It will end at 81 or 83 (if you have a V6, it's probably 02 that will change to 00)
Now you change 81 to 80 or 83 to 82
You must also change the IC 720-01-01.
Just enter the IC module and change 720-01-01 xxx7 xxxx xxxx to xxx3 xxxx xxxx
There is information that it is enough to turn off the IC and it is true, but then
GEM / SJB continues to error code (what happens when the error log becomes full?) and it is also likely that the module never enters sleep mode

wears out the switch. Big greasy fingerprint on the button.

I can't wait to fix this!

Cant say enough how much this helped. I've had that light since I bought the car, and today its finally gone! Really starting to like FORScan. As soon as I changed the number on the IC, it immediately went away and hasnt come on since.
