Ford really needs to offer another FX4 Level II package like they did on the 2002-era Ranger.
Have it offer the overseas Ranger Raptor body/wheels/tires and some better shocks than the regular FX4 package.
And while they're at it, really consider offering a 300-horse naturally-aspirated V6 engine with a 6-speed manual option.
The "old" 3.7 Mustang engine in this truck would really be cool, especially if tuned for more torque, since it is a truck after all.
And don't make it a $50k package cuz really, I'm never gonna spend $45k+ on a small pickup truck.

That's "my" wish list for this thing.

Loved my 94 & 95, drooled over the Level II's... imagine if Ford did it and dropped one with manual trans AND t-Case? world would end, haha

The closeness of price to the F-150 is why 7 years ago I chose to buy a used F-150 SCREW over a used Ranger. I didn't necessarily want/need a full-size truck, but given how closely they were priced, it would be silly to get the Ranger. The thing is, most people in the market for a small truck are not cross-shopping this with the F-150 or other half-tons, so I don't think price comparisons are going to play too big of a role. If they buy this, it's because they want the smallness of a Ranger. I don't think it's priced all that bad; I can't imagine Ford's cost to produce the Ranger is much less than an F-150.

Sucks it's a Hennessey, but this lifted 350-horse Ranger certainly looks awesome :)

Also, Livernois just released tuning for this thing.

They did a base dyno test, it put down 250 rwhp and 280 rwtq.

Tune only, it went to 306 rwhp and 380 rwtq

The 2.7EB would be the best thing to happen to the Ranger. But I've read v6 engines won't fit. Simplest solution would be the 3.2 Powerstroke. Only has 185 hp but it has 350 lb-ft.

Even a the Mustang spec tune would be a decent step up.

I believe it is because the global ranger was only designed with inilne engines in mind, and that is why a V configuration will not fit. At least I think that is what I read somewhere

See this? I bet this will take a V6. And Jalopnik got a take down notice from Ford over the image. Which they promptly ignored.

And that right there is the only thing I like about the EcoBoost engines.
A tune wakes them up something fierce.

Even Ford's own tune upgrade for the Focus ST adds something like 90 ft-lbs of torque to the 2.0

The Mustang 2.3 Ecoboost takes the 310hp/320lb-ft tune to 335hp and 395lb-ft. Adding 100hp at 6000 rpm.
