Just recently finished up a cam, intake, throttle body, and injector build, and couldn't get it to run quite right with my previous tuner. I got ahold of Lito, and in one day got it driving like a completely different beast. Throttle response is perfect, and you can tell it just wants to run. Main issue I was having was sputtering while driving at lower RPM, and almost stalling at a stop. Also, when idling, it seemed like it was constantly hunting for an idle point. All of that was fixed within 4 revisions. Definitely going back to him once I add boost.

I don't get how Lito can tune cars and nobody else can. I struggled with driveability stuff and things that just seemed completely wrong for a while, got told to buy sct pro racer and fix it myself by a guy once.

Lito tuned the car, ran awesome.

I think there are others who can tune as well as Lito, however, Lito tunes 3V nearly exclusively, at least in the US it seems. Many other tuners have focused on the Coyote market as it's more money for them. I'd bet Lund, Ken Bjonnes, Dan Carlson (Realspeed Auto), could all do a 3V set up as well as Lito.

JDM Engineering can tune 3v cars extremely well too.

I had the opposite experience from apparently everyone in the world, LOL.

Last summer, Lito had trouble with my 3V (KB blower, headers, and a couple other changes). After 7 iterations, it was still stalling at lights. It was clear to me that he was very busy personally and professionally at that time, so the tune changes were not coming fast enough and were not improving -- felt like I couldn't drive my car at a time when the weather was perfect. After I got frustrated, he was a complete professional and refunded my money.

I now have both a dyno tune from Excessive Motorsports and a mail order tune (with subsequent data log adjustments) from Lasato Racing. Both were done with no drama. The Lasato tune needed merely an A/F change at WOT, but otherwise took very little to perfect from the get-go.

I'm relatively sure there was just something in my mod list being missed in the Lito tune, I was just tired of dicking with it.

For me Lito was "da man." Nobody near me has a dyno, and after I did my cams the tune Bama sent me would not idle right. Lito's "baseline" tune that he sent me idled worked better than the one Bama tried to give me.

Same experience I was having. Seemed like it was constantly hunting for an idle after I installed cams and put in the Bama tune. First baseline tune from Lito idled high for a minute, then settled right at 740. Didnt budge a bit from there after that. Also had issues with sputtering/missing while driving at below 2000 rpm. After putting in his tune, it just felt like it WANTED to move! I probably would've gone with someone other than Bama at first, but it seems like the 3v engines are being left behind for the Coyote, and not many want to email tune for cams. Oh well, runs like a champ now!

What cams do you have? I had Bama tune for my Detroit Rocker SC's and mine idles at like 900.

Lito tuned my 07 after my DOB install and runs strong. I installed FFRP hot rod cams later, Lito wrote a new tune for that. Car drives like stock, no surging and such. Last dyno pull on a dyno dynamics resulted in 484/497 at 5200 ft to the wheels.
Since then, full length headers and 3" MBRP cat back has been installed. Lito is super easy to work with also.

Do you know what he changed to fix your issues? I have literally the exact setup (detroit rocker, tb, under pulley, full exh) 1-2.2k RPMs few jerkiness when accelerating in low gear and idle hunting / surging in traffic and coming to every single stop.

I am now on revision 21 with Lito and he can't seem to get it right.
