So I just spent last week repainting bumpers, chip filling, and tomorrow will be doing some wet sanding and compound cutting/polishing to correct paint.... Id like to get a good sealer on after all this work but low on money.... Are the $20-$50 ceramic coating products I see on amazon any good? They seem to have decent reviews but thought Id ask here...
Any of the cheaper ceramic products worth a f?
Or should i just stick with meguires wax?
Thanks

Im going to order the cquartz 50ml/100ml reload kit.

I planned to strip/polish the car tomorrow but the cquartz wont be here untill next weekend.
I wonder if i drove the car after polishing with no sealer untill the cquartz gets here if it will hurt the clearcoat being in the sun for a week?
Actually I just washed it today with dishsoap to strip the wax some. Tomorrow was going to IPA it and claybar ... Then compound and polish.
Maybe i should just leave it in garage untill the cquartz shows up :(

After i get a couple coats of cquartz on....
How long will it realistically last?
Im in the midwest and its garaged in winter and only drive it to and from work mostly.

What is the process in a year or two from now when it needs reapplied? Just strip with alcohol and reapply or will i have to polish with dual action polisher again?

Ahhh, the ceramic coating debate.

No doubt it looks great when professionally applied. But, worth the $$$$$$? That's debatable.

Like many products, it is hard to determine if what you would buy is as effective. You need to get an insider who does it professionally to give you a straight answer. I would love to know the answer myself.

I'd be all in, even at the professional prices, if it kept swirl marks out of my black paint. But, from what I have read, it is not terrible effective at that. So, I have to assume that I'd pay a boat load of money to have my car look outstanding . . . for one summer. I need more than that for the $.
