I have a 2007 GT with 97k miles that is making a very strange fluttering/sputtering noise when accelerating. Kinda sounds like a playing card in bike spokes. You can hear it when the car is first started during the idle loop but goes away when the RPM's lower. Can't hear it while cruising but the moment the car accelerates for any reason the sound comes back. It only comes from the passenger side of the engine bay.

Not an exhaust leak i changed the header gaskets last week and the ones that came off were completely fine. changed spark plugs, swapped coils from each side to see if the sound moved to the drivers side, it did not. You can hear it from outside the car during low idle with the hood closed and sounds like its around the battery.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Have you checked the headers for cracks? Short or long tube? What brand of headers? Honestly it sounds like a small exhaust leak. How about the collectors?
