No moods on the car. Just some exterior ones.

A few months ago car start to “smell” when i “jump” on the pedal. On 4,5-5 RPM s start to smell like something i never smell before on a car. Its not clutch or antifreeze. Thats i know for sure. Smells inside and outside.

Back than, the smell seems to develop just on high rpms. Now its there all the time after car warm up. And its not a pleasant smell. And also very persistent. Persist in garage after days.

Car works fine, no other “turbulences”. Just an increase of MPG in town. About 13 and i had around 15.

Highway its the same, 20 mpg.

The car sits in garage for winter time.

Car has 25000 miles , v8, manual, 2008. Never had big issues with it. Shaker 1000 went bad and i replaced it. 2 years ago i upgrade with fr500 exhaust and wheels.

I live in Romania, Europe and a diagnose for my car its not possible. I did it with my BLUE DRIVER but went fine. No bad codes.

Please share some thoughts. Thanks.

Probably has something to do with the fuel you are burning and/or the catalytic converters.

Maybe check the PCV system for cracks or loose connection
It’s a very distinct and unpleasant smell

How high is the ethanol content in Romanian gasoline and how long does it take for you to burn off a tank of fuel?

The higher the ethanol content, the quicker the gasoline goes bad and this can be as short as a couple of weeks if other environmental factors are present (prolonged high humidity as an example). It can take several tanks to dilute the bad fuel unless you run it near empty and then fill all the way up.

Up to 10% ethanol.
About 10 days for 2/3 of a thank. Thank fill the tank.

Have you had the car up on a lift and have a look around? Perhaps something stuck on the exhaust system.

Easy to do ?
Yes, there will be a rubber hose going from each valve cover to the intake tube and manifold.
These evacuate crank case vapors to be burned off by the engine. It doesn't smell good so it's a possibility that's easy to check

Do you think it's chemical or could it be something died hiding in or on your car is is slowly cooking and rotting away? Like a zombie cat or ?

I did check it carrefully allover. No leaks, no dead animals. Antifreeze its all there, oil the same, all the liquids are there. Battery its new.
I have notice a difference on AC sistem. Its not ice anymore. On very hot days i put it on 4 and its not the same. The freon its all there.

In that case the problem could simply be a clogged cabin air filter. Replacing it might get rid of the bad smell and allow the AC to produce cold air again.

The smell is hydrogen sulphide because the cats are becoming too hot and the ceramic is beginning to break down. The cause is the engine running too rich (your reported drop in gas mileage is another clue). If there are no misfires and the engine's running well, the likely underlying fault is at least one bad upstream O2 sensor. An ECU scan should reveal at least one fault code and point you in the right direction.
It's best to fix it ASAP because otherwise the cats will break down completely and you'll end up with a more expensive repair bill.

During this process: check for exhaust and vac leaks. My car has had both. The exhaust leak allowed a sulfur smell at idle, it was a crack across the midpipe below the catalyst.

This mileage could be better
Avoid fuel with ethanol, and only use 98 octane
Check the CO from the exhaust
