So to cut a long story short, someone ripped by driver turn signal out from back off a curb and running it over..when i got it back to check it out it obviously ripped the wiring out with the whole light, the only thing i could salvage was the turn signal harness and plug and also the marker harness, i had to get a new marker bulb socket and repair the wiring, white/red and grey/black wires were torn up to the chassis while the others were down at the light level and could easily be fixed...

now heres the problem..i have no turn signal, i have marker and parking lights..but no turn...now if i stare at the bulb..the main filament will slliighhhttyyyy dim with the turn signal on..but the secondary filament for the turn signal never comes on...

what am i missing here?? this is driving me nuts!!

Front or Rear? Did you replace the harness and sockets? The metal tabs within the socket could be jacked and even though the wiring is connected, does not make good contact with the bulb. Grab a multimeter and check for continuity throughout

front driver, and your saying check continuity through the indicator wire and ground?

sure or just from the harness body plug up to the inner socket of the indicator wire, you'll find your short

sorry been a long day, i checked it, course i have continuity between the parking light, nothing from the turn signal portion. i had pulled back the wire wrap earlier and looked up and down and gave a few tugs to see if there was another separation but found nothing.

So your problem is further up the line, not down at the socket. I'd replace the headlight harness. It feeds into the fuse box and has both headlights, turn signals and parking / marking lights.
