It's a MACH-Ery to call it a Mustang. Or a MACH anything. There was massive outcry when they called the thing a MACH the first time. Adding an E does not make it any better. Amd adding Mustang to the front of it sullies the brand quality Mustang already carries.

What the FUCK are you thinking Ford? The Mustang is the every man's sport car. This isn't even a car. You marketing morons!

I agree I don't like the move. Had they just left it at styling cues and used Mach-E I would have been ok with it.

But the fact they are calling it Mustang Mach-E, makes me think now that Ford has abandoned cars they are going try and make the Mustang it's own sub brand of Ford.

It's ugly. And a big roundish lump of meh. No name will help if it's the rolling incarnation of meh.

I don't care for it much, however it reminds me a bunch of the 4 door Wrangler back in 07. Everyone said it would be a massive fail. What happened is every guy wanted a Wrangler with kids now could sell there wife it's kid friendly as it's a 4 door and he gets his college ride back.

Think from a car guy stand point it's bland and don't like taking the mustang name to a SUV. However from a market stand point think same thing like 4 door Wrangler, guys can have kids, own a "mustang" again and helps sell there wife on it is "green". (Or the wife always wanted a mustang and her "mustang" and loves it as it sits high like a SUV) My wife likes our mustangs but rarely drives them unless in a jam as she rather be high up in the Wrangler

IMO they should've just called it the Mach-E or perhaps the Mark-E crossover and left it at that. I can just imagine how Lee Iacocca would react if he were still among us knowing how the execs over at Ford could be so disrespectful by talking such an icon as the Mustang as we know it and taking it's nameplate for an SUV and especially one that's manufactured in all places, fucking Mexico.

Needless to say, I can also just imagine how Lee Iacocca must be turning over in his grave yelling out, " I created the Mustang nearly 55 years ago as a fun, sporty car built for the masses, not as a God-damn family utility vehicle" :pissed1:

Ford EnRG would have been way better.

Would have fit in with the current corporate naming strategy too. Esacape, Explorer, Edge, Expedition, EnRG.

I kinda like it.
No, I don't think they should've named it anything with "Mustang" in it, but
I really think it's just Ford's way of getting their customers ready to a Mustang
with a hybrid or electric drivetrain in it, and even one with AWD,
options that I'm sure are coming for the 2-door Mustang we all know and love.

Tesla sells (comparatively) a lot of electric cars for two reasons. One, they're fast. Almost stupidly fast. Two, they look decent, good even.

You want to sell EVs to the general public? Make them fast, sexy and get the price down.

I certainly do not find tesla's offerings pleasing to the eye. The roadster looks good but their current stuff does nothing for me.

The market's already saturated with SUVs and crossovers so every time I hear that a new model is being launched, my reaction is "Oh God, not another one!".
In the meantime, sports cars are in danger of becoming extinct. Do people only want to drive boring cars these days?

I think it’s a cutting edge vehicle - but it should never have had Mustang or Mach in its name.

As a “ Mustang”, it’s UGLY.
