get that 60ft time down into the 1.2x you will most likely have a 7 second car.

That’s my major setback right now. I need to swap to a slipper clutch and add another 10-15# and see what itll do.

Adding a slipper clutch to a stock case/bell TR6060 is my issue.

Your mustang is still a stick shift? Put a power-glide in that girl and let her eat!

I went auto in my blue car and it just wasn’t for me. Banging gears to 160+ is a thrill I don’t want to give up.

Once the car gets more advanced and people start bragging about 3V records I will throw a glide in it to prove what it can do.

Until then banging gears is just more fun.

What are the 3V records? I have not seen a 3v that is still 281CID run quicker than my car, bigger turbo and some weight reduction I'll be in the 4's running an 1/8th, which would be deep into the 7's in the quarter.

Drive a stick is much more fun, but I picked up a full second in the quarter switching to an auto, couldn't believe it.

Aside from Mo’s 326ci build that went 7.6s there are a decent amount of quick ones now. Eric Lawrence went 8.16 at 281ci with smaller single. Kevin McDonald has been 7.8s I believe in his 3V fox.

Cracking into the 4s doesn’t normally correlate to “deep” into the 7s unless your really pouring it on up top.

Ed Pierce went 5.teens I believe in a 282 s485 build.

I think it’ll be super tough to get an S197 weight 3V sub 7.50s.

Well after a disappointing time at Mod Nats, I’m up and running again.

Fired up last night after the winter repairs.

No changes this year for the first time ever.

Wait a minute, are you still running an RST clutch?
My RST clutch needs over an hour to cool after an 1/8th mile run or it would not go into 3rd gear and sometimes would not even go into gear on the return road, swapping it out to an RXT one of these weekends.

Negative. As of late January, he was running an RXT1200 on a RPM level 6 6060

Yeah I sent my RST in and had it upgrade to an RXT1200. So far so good!

Got a parachute installed? wow.

Full manual reverse valvebody "automatic" is still you choosing to bang the next gear. Quicker. Faster. More consistent. Less violent on the driveline. All wins.

No 60 foot and no 1/8 mile. That is hauling ass on the top side. Someone is smiling down on you for sure!
Thanks man. I only got a handful of passes in last year on the new setup. I should be able to get that 60ft down into the 1.4s at least. Then it should run a solid number.

I’ve ran a MVB auto in my other 3V. It’s just not for me. Is it quicker, yes. That’s just not what it’s about for me. I enjoy the thrill of banging gears down track. It’s much more exiting and adrenaline pumping for me.

Yes I have a parachute.
