Love my PAC 1233's. They are the correct height and don't need all the shims that the Comp springs need.

They are pretty much all made by one company so it doesn't matter much. I have Trick Flow 15410-24, aka, PAC 1233's. They are holding up so far but I don't have much for mileage on them so I can't comment on durability.

I have to ask; Why wouldn’t you use the springs and retainers the manufacture of your cams recommends ?

Because they are made by PAC anyways and then the price is bumped up to maximize revenue. Only difference is that they change the top diameter of the spring in order to force you to also buy a set of retainers to further maximize revenue.
Why does Comp have 2 different choices for springs that they recommend that have very different specifications? This just demonstrates that there is a range of springs that most of these cams work with so there is no magic spring that "X" cam lobe needs. If springs and cams were that finicky about the spring pressure, there is no way we'd be using the same valvespring on both an exhaust valve and an intake valve on a 3v mod motor.
Get the PAC 1233's, they are proven to work with just about any cam combination that has been used in a 3v and re-use your stock retainers-unless you have a shit ton of miles on them. Replacement ones are $2.11 and locks are 25 cents apiece from tasca.

Choosing between the two sets of springs Comp Cams recommends is easy. If you use their retainers, one set will stack up without shims to clear a .550” lift cam. The other will give clearance for .650” . They offer two retainers also. Steel or titanium. I chose titanium to reduce weight.

The stock retainers are only 2 grams heavier than the larger comp titanium retainers required for their springs.
If I had a drag-only heads-up class N/A pushrod motor I would run titanium but there is no point on a power adder car that has a cam that signs off well below 7500 rpms. Save your money!
