On Evan Smith's youtube channel they've had several videos going over the internals and specs of the 7.3....pretty cool. Also have shown how they are already working on mounts and headers to swap one into a Fox.

Procharger has a blog on their website about a blower for the 7.3 and they say it "had" to fit in a Fox engine bay. Between those videos and the Procharger blog it's pretty obvious FRPP is working with some select companies to build a pipeline of parts for a crate engine.

I can see the popularity of Coyote 5.0 swaps begin to wane as enthusiasts with older Mustangs and other Ford models catch on to the much more compact but bigger displacement Godzilla 7.3. As a result, prices of Coyote engines will drop, and that's good news for those who want to swap them into their '05-'09 S197.

I'm still coasting along on $350 LS based longblocks - ford will NEVER beat that! i just paid the princely sum of $0.00 for an aluminum 5.3 L33!!

Haters gonna hate. lol I am just stoked that there are so many v8 swap options these days. Makes me happy. The aftermarket for fabricated items is so much larger than it was 20 years ago.

I am not interested in a Coyote swap into my s197. I still think the modular firing order sounds better. I love the way 3v's sound.

On a different note I am curious how the 7.3 will sound. It is a very interesting new engine, indeed.

Someday someone WILL put a 7.3 Godzilla into an S197 when these engines become more readily available from wrecked trucks.

I hope Ford pulls several hundred off the super duty plant line and offers them as crate engines.
$ 8,500 without ECU and $ 9,995 with the ecu included would be nice :)

It's probably only a matter of time when Ford Performance offers the 7.3 as a crate engine and develops a Control Pack for it too.

yeah, the LS is a lot different than the 7.3 in many ways like the pushrods, rocker shafts, aluminum heads on an iron block, plastic intake, single cam... 50 yrs old... neat

LOL

Good luck to all of the rich uncle pennybags blowing 9 grand USD on a truck engine and then sprinkling more crap on top. Sneaky pete and I will see you down at the end of the track.
