Gosh that's alot of horsepower out of a stock Coyote engine
It is pretty damn amazing isn't it, and with a 5yr 60,000 mile warranty to boot.

Who would have thought with cars like this and the GT500 that you'd buy a factory car and it's almost at the point you have to put a parachute on it to run it down the dragstrip. They are getting scary....

If its like previous Roush models, a simple tune will get much more HP out of the supercharger. 775 at the crank, which is probably 675 at the wheels, will quickly become 775 wheel HP.

I have never liked the looks of the S550s. The exception is the GT350s and GT500s. I have to add this one to the list.

There is more in that car for sure. The Roush Tune is "Safe". We see it all the time with our Supercharger installs. Customers opt to get custom tuning and find more power in the set up. Depepnds on Tuner also.

It blows me away that people are buying these 700+ hp cars and it's still not enough, let alone having to pay for the gas for all that hp. People not that many years ago would bitch about their older muscle cars only getting 7-10 mpg and were selling them for gas saving imports. The new GT500 avg's 14 mpg in normal driving and 2-3 mpg on the track and now people seem fine with it, how the times have changed.

Most people are walking into performance shops with 1000 hp expectations these days. I love it. It is pushing the 500 hp stuff into a very affordable price point.

800 hp and 20+ mpg is awesome. The new cars make crazy hp on a stock engine and still get decent mpg's.
The GT500 averages 14 mpg on the highway, 2-3 mpg on track, no way your getting 20mpg out of it. Boost that to 1000hp and those numbers get even lower. You better have stock in an oil company.
I only average 18 mpg on my 2010 Roush and that's only 390hp at the rear.

50k above the base Mustang? No thanks
Roughly same money as a GT500, would you buy one of those? Personally it's too much for me too, I'd have to wait a few years and get a used one. But that said I thought my 2010 Roush was a lot of money too, but I still bought it.

And to think to think wife and I only paid $35,000 for our first house.

IMO the Roush is not a GT500, not knocking the Roush by any means, but spend that kind of cash on a Mustang I would get the GT 500. I would personally buy one of these before spending that much on a Roush.

Also keep in mind this Roush is a limited production model of only 60 cars, it's not your typical Shelby that there will thousands of. There is something to be said about that from a collector standpoint.

In my case I have a Silver w Red Stripe 427r. I believe Roush only built 5 in that scheme in 2010, 2 Automatic Coupes, 2 Manual Coupes , and a Convertible. I've personally never seen another one like it. How many Silver with Red Stripe Mustangs do you even see? I've only ever seen 1 and that was a Boss 302LS in the silver red scheme with the red wheels, IMO those looked absolutely sweet!!! I think the silver with red is an awesome color combo and I'm surprised you don't see more cars in that color.
When I go to car shows I generally win a trophy over any Shelby's, and I actually took 1st place in my class at a Shelby Club show, and I believe that is because of the uniqueness of the car. Same be said for the Jack Roush model.

3v vs coyote, not even the same playing field. New gt500 gets over 20 on the highway, know a few people who actually own them. Not lame magazine articles.

Speed Phenom Kid on you tube as well as a couple others on you tube only avg 14. He ran on track at Willow Springs and got 2.5 mpg, ran out a full tank in 1 20 minute session. Window sticker shows 14 avg, 12 city 18 hwy, if they get 20 their babying the thing down the road. I know I wouldn't be getting 20!
That kid also stated his buddies 1000hp Super Snake gets better mileage than his GT500.
