I was driving my stang I down shifted it to 2nd gear it revved up to 5000rpm. when I noticed I put down the clutch and put it back in to proper gear. I got to a stop sign and noticed the rpms are running at about 500 and it feels like the car is going to stall. does anyone know what's going on?

I had a similar rev up/down issue, I replaced the throttle positioning sensor and it solved my issue. The TPS is an and cheap replacement ($70 at Autoany part store) and 2 screws. I've done it a few times, my 70mm throttle body screws them up in about 20k miles.
