Hey guys and gals. I am a long time S197 member, and I still feel like this is the best forum out there. Even though the S550 Mustang it taking the spotlight these days.

I have started a YouTube Car/Truck review channel and our first episode is live today! We started with the Gen1 Raptor, but I promise at least two S197 reviews are coming soon.

Please share if you enjoyed it. This is our first one so bear with us on overall film quality and format. Any and all feed back is appreciated.

I don't think the Raptor will tow my trailers as well as my 250. So I think I need a little more truck.

Yeah I was just going to say that;s true unless you have to tow more than 6,000 pounds. Because the Raptor is not for that. My camper is too heavy for a Raptor and I tow it with a 300 hp 5.4 3V. I do that under protest, but I do it.

I looked hard at the Raptors when I was shopping for a truck. When I saw the tow rating I passed. I still like them, just not enough capacity for me.

I totally get it. Weirdly the supercab Raptor is rated to tow 6,000 lbs, and the supercrew is rated to tow 8,000 lbs. It must have different spring rates on the supercrew wheelbase. I have pulled a 7,000 lb load with this super crew, and the exact same load with a 2011 4x4 lariat coyote (I cannot remember its tow rating) and the Raptor towed much better with the 6.2, and with significantly less sag. The Raptor still looks level with the trailers tongue weight, whereas the lariat looked stressed out and saggy. That being said, a F250 tows even better. If I towed 7,000 daily I would go that direction without a doubt.

Thanks for chiming in guys. Let me know if you have any requests for future reviews.

New reviews I'd like to see are 2020 Roush Stage 3 and Stage 2 with the Podium Package. Primarily I want to see how their new Powertrain Cooling Package works, which is part of the podium package. Roush claims Jack Jr has done testing on track with no heat soak issues, I want to know if it is true?

Thanks for the request. I will add this to the list and will request press access from Roush. If we get access I will be sure to let you know.

Thanks,

Sounds good. I'd also like to see the Roush Stage 3 compared side by side to the GT500. Price wise right now with the dealer markups you can get the Roush for about $20-30k cheaper!

Great suggestion, the GT500 is hard to come by for the next month or so, but we will get it on the list as well.
