Looks like that's a yes!!

And since the Bullit also seems to be going away, I bet the more powerful Bullet 5.0 ends up in the Mach 1. maybe even with a little boost of power. I think the could get 500 rated out of it. And I hope it has a "Drag-Pack" option.

My first thought was April fools joke, but it actually sounds like it might be legit.

I saw an article that was supposing the new Mach 1 was replacing the 350. All speculation. I kinda wrote it off. But now there seems to be multiple discussions out there. Maybe it will be the new hybrid version of the Excursion!

They should have been using the Mach 1 name forever. Its a cool name and screams Mustang. There are a dozen or more cars labeled GT. Its way to generic, never liked it. GT350 or GT500 is good but plain GT is weak. And the Ford GT should have been GT40. Pay the guy that owns the name and add another 10k to each car. Whatever it would have taken. Plain Ford GT also sounds weak, imho, ymmv.

I grew up loving the Mach1. You actually saw the Mach1 on the streets. I never saw a Shelby on the streets until the late 1980’s. In fact, my 05 build turned out to be a unintentional Mach1 tribute. When I had to replace the hood because of the corrosion on the front lip, I went with a Mach1 fiberglass hood with the twin scoops.

Nice...miss my '69. If a guy ever knew, would've kept that car.

My brother bought and restored, back in 1989/90 a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 428 Super Cobra Jet 4 Speed Drag Pack car. It was an awesome car.

'69 is easily my favorite Mustang body style.

A few years ago I passed on a chance at a 1969 "Q" code Mach 1. Could have got it for $2500. I already had two rebuilds underway so I didn't buy it. A friend of mine picked it up and had it running in about an hour. Drove it up on his trailer and brought it home. Freshen the motor up a bit and sold it for 27K. Number four on the list of my biggest regrets concerning cars that were in my hand and I just didn't pull the trigger.
