Hi Brick.
My experience with just under 1/2” preload was that I had to push the pedal to the floor or sometimes it would nibble second on an up shift. After about 1,000 miles I could not speed shift into second and sometimes it would nibble second on a downshift. I thought it was a synchro problem and also there might be flex in the clutch pedal and bracket from the stiff pressure plate. What I found was nibbled gear and synchronizer teeth and burnt, transferred metal on the backside of second gear. Weird, the bearings looked perfect but that gear had gouged the shaft and that raised ring on the shaft is full of cracks. Nobody I have spoke with has seen this failure before so I don’t know what I did wrong.
I used Tremec’s brand lube. This time I’m using Mobile 1. I will use the 1/2” spacer behind the slave so I am sure to have all the travel I can get. If this doesn’t work I will try the GT500 master cylinder I have read about.
I used the Ram spacer for aftermarket clutches when I replaced mine. Works like a charm.

Got my brakes finished and took the car for a road test - the new oil pressure sensor doesn't seem to be working right, all I'm getting is lines on the gauge display.
Fucking yayyyy

At least the breaks look and feel great :)

You did such an awesome job Gabe! Both the front and rear brakes look absolutely stunning on your Mustang to say the very least. Congrats

Replaced plugs, installed strut mount brace, finished installing Andretti electric cut outs, future Nephew in-law brought my rear axel back with 3:55 Ford Racing gears, he sand blasted and painted it black and powder coated the cover white.

Pulled my PowerTorque HP Clutch Master Cylinder (same specs of OEM plastic MC but made of aluminum) out of my 09 GT today & replaced w\ the FoMoCo part# DR3Z-7A543-A 13-14 GT500 Aluminum Clutch Master Cylinder. This GT500 MC did indeed gain me more fluid stroke to the TOB\Slave vs the PT MC & found it to be more linear in clutch travel & more firm\solid in clutch feel. Gained 1" more in pedal travel-to-clutch engagement off floor (went from 2" to 3") so shifting overall but especially downshifts is much improved now.

This thing is for real...………..

Now taking the rest of the day off to recover from this work......hurting in neck, shoulders & back...….

I got a whole bunch done.
New DSS driveshaft. Drive shaft safety loop. Replaced end links on front and rear sway bars. New set of spark plugs, oil temp sensor for Interceptor gauge.

Added these rare finds. These are officially licensed. I have the package if anyone is interested. They are not plastic and metal.

Specs call for 3 1/4”-3 3/4” gap. Snuck in at 3 5/8”. Will post pics of end links tomorrow. I guess you’ll have to take my word on the spark plugs.
