Thought this might be a good way to go since I wanted custom powder. Remains are around 120 a piece which isn’t unreasonable. But then of course I would be stripping and rebuilding them again.

Seller is asking 150pc with install hardware/pins.

Those are repros. You can see a casting tab above the "rem" part of brembo. The real ones do not have that.
Brake calipers are a simple device and I've been using a set for 2 years and zero problems. I did them in silver with black brembo vinyl from Ebay a set of centric premium rotors, and stoptech sport pads. Stock lines bolt right up.

You know reman means remanufactured? They use the original Ford castings and rebuild them. But anyways yea they are going to be the same thing.

I think he was pointing this out, which I noticed when you posted the pic. It looks as though there are some remnants left over from casting. The re-pops/knockoffs have this, also fomoco and Brembo are cast into the back of the caliper which is missing on the fakes.

Mine were listed as "remanufactured" and the internet pics showed the "FoMoCo" and Brembo casting on the back side of the caliper but the ones that arrived to my doorstep had no such castings and had a small piece of paper with "made in China" written on it.

Either way, they are knock-offs despite being advertised as remanufactured.
Good news is that they still work just fine.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Seems to be a lot of deceptive marketing. Nothing new, just didn’t realize just how many fakes are out there. Nice to hear that they are at least a fully functional knockoff lmao.

Go ahead and keep questioning my reading comprehension though.

Not sure if this helps but I was able to piece together a "Brembo" front brake kit from Autozone for my 05 V6. The calipers are not FoMoCo but came painted black and the whole kit (calipers, pads, rotors, hoses, and fittings) cost me right at $500 and the calipers have a lifetime warranty. The reason I needed some fittings is because my V6 is a nonABS model. They barely clear my 18" wheels with no spacers.

I detailed knock-offs vs real Brembos pretty well here. In my case, E-bay guy was
selling knockoffs as real one's, with fake motorcraft boxes and all. I contacted E-bay
and Brembo, but neither seemed to care.

Thanks for the info, I wouldn’t have posted here if I had seen it. They search function did not yield the desired information. I did some more searching. It seems the knock offs you mention are indeed still listed on feebay along with the counterfeit motorcraft packages.4C514DEF-2303-47C5-929F-03F80511F7D8.png

For the price, pick up some remans from a legitimate source like oreillyauto, rockauto, or napa.
G2 paint and larger 13/14 rotor.

The "remans" on RockAuto ARE the Chinese knockoffs. I suspect the same is true for anywhere else offering "reman" Brembos as well.

Most of your remans out there are cardone's. Even at parts stores. In which are remanned in China.

So the 15" rotor from the 13/14 GT500 fits with these calipers? Would not have thought to try that.

Wrong. They are not Chinese cast knockoffs. They are remanufactured OEM calipers. Remanned in China? Perhaps, but who cares, considering the majority of parts on your car are manufactured in China?

If you say so. I bought the "reman" Brembos from RockAuto and they were the Chinese knockoffs, but what do I know.

I’m not trying to be a jerk. Sorry to hear you got some knockoffs. I saw some on the groups had success with RockAuto. Personally, I bought some Cardone from Amazon, and some from Napa, and both were official remans.
Additionally, I had read that Cardone remanufactures in Mexico, and if you check their site, it does confirm a facility there.
