Hi guys.
I was wondering what all is interchangeable or direct fit to an 09 6 cylinder mustang? From gt and other models?
Bumpers, suspension parts, engine components.
Thanks for the info

Its been a minute since I had my 09 V6, but when I did, I was able to swap over the front and rear bumpers. Pretty much most of the suspension should be able to swap over, however you might be better off considering some aftermarket parts. The entire rear end should be able to swap over if you get the cobra flange so you can use your factory driveshaft.

I have an 06' GT and my son has an 07' V6.
In my experience:
All Body Parts - I upgraded my son's to a Roush front bumper/GT grill and rear wing.
All suspension - I replaced just about everything w/GT parts; good to upgrade brakes/rotors/shocks/sway bars from a GT though you may not have anti-lock depending on V6 model. The brake lines on the GT won't swap to the base V6. Never tried to retro-fit anti-lock. Not worth the effort IMHO. No experience upgrading rear end/drive shaft. I've also heard the transmissions (auto's) are slightly different but never verified for myself.

I wouldn't try swapping major electronics (ECU's, harnesses, connecting blocks) as they're specific to a V6 though many of the ancillary items are exactly the same (i.e. switches, controls, seats, lights, some minor harness pieces, connectors, etc.... Not sure if GT speedo may work; never tried it). You would have to check part numbers/application to be sure. Outside of V6 specific engine/drive train and electrical pieces I estimate a good 60% - 70% of a GT car will bolt right up to a V6. These cars were made to be modular.

Everything is interchangeable systematically. A V6 unibody is the same as a GT.

I've owned 4 S197s, 1 V6 and 3 GTs. I supercharged my V6, added GT rear bumper and GT exhaust, GT front brakes, complete GT rear axle including brakes. The GT exhaust sounds just right on the V6 IMO, if you install an anti-drone cross pipe. read this:

I cut the V6 rear bumper for the GT exhaust but then later swapped in a GT rear bumper cover. All these were pretty easy bolt-ins. I happen to prefer the look of the V6 front bumper but if you swap in a GT there's a styrofoam insert that goes with it.
