Another alternative is this https://shaftmasters.com/3mualdr1.html

I have a 2005 GT with a Saleen Series VI 450 rwh. Rear dropped
1in on Roush springs and the Shaft Master 3.5in aluminum drive
shaft.installed 11 years ago.No issues no problems. Fixed the slop
with old stock drive shaft. Check the spec's and the price. Save
some money.

With shipping to the UK plus import tax then duty tax on top it still isn't cheaper

Thanks, I will contact them to check.
There is a member on a UK Mustang forum with a new in box DSS driveshaft (need to double check it's the correct one) for sale for $805 delivered, if I buy one online from the regular US places that will deliver to the UK it will cost me approx $1100

I think youre talking about me :)

Is the one you have for sale the one I have linked?

I contacted DSS to check Saleen didn't change anything, they replied asking for a measurement so I need to get my car on a ramp and measure the length of the driveshaft to confirm.

Yes thats the one. Another MOCGB member is interested too though, I need to find a box at work monday first.

I guess it will fit your car unless saleen used a different gearbox, which they only did on the extreme I think.

Saleen836, unless your car has 6 forward gears, you have the stock transmission.
The only aftermarket transmissions that Saleen ever used was a modified T56 from a GTO application.

Someone's getting shafted. ;) The bloody thing must only have a shipping weight of ~10 kilos. Then add customs duty, 20% VAT, plus an oversize package surcharge and it quickly stacks up.
I think it is more the size of the package it comes in rather than the weight, have made arrangements for it to come over in a container when I have onbe ordered, thats only going to cost me $50! (plus import duty and tax)

DSS driveshaft now ordered from Lethal Performance!
Thanks to the LP member of staff who helped me out via messenger with a problem placing the order

Now the long wait (approx 2 months) for it to be built and shipped here to the UK.

I'm real happy with my DSS driveshaft. The whole driveline just feels smoother and it feels stronger in the low-midrange area.

Finally bit the bullet and ordered my 1 piece driveshaft. Kept tweaking the pinion angle and couldn't get rid of the vibration. Stock driveshaft must finally be done for. I went with the Ford Racing unit from Summit. None of the usual vendors I go thru had anything in stock that could ship immediately. Unless I went carbon fiber which I don't need. Bought it yesterday and got an estimated delivery time of today. Hopefully summit didn't screw me and I get one of those apology emails saying sorry your shipment has been delayed. I need to install this now. Noise is driving me crazy.

Once you get it and installed, you mind giving us your opinion of it?

I'm pretty sure the Ford Racing one is a re-branded shaftmasters unit.
I have the shaftmasters unit and no issues so far. No vibration whatsoever. I did adjust the pinion angle but that was more for drag strip purposes and I run -2 degrees rather than the zero that the instructions call for.
