Roush is getting a partial track prep today for Road America 4th of July weekend (182 cars registered), Oil, Trans, and Brake fluid changes. Also was digging in the garage yesterday and found a new set of Hawk pads I forgot I had, DTC 30 on front HP+ on rear.

Yesterday, not today, but I took it to my first track day! I’d done those drive experience things before but this was my first time in my own car. Definitely exposed a couple of weak spots, or at least weak spots for track use. Still made the drive home, gonna need some new brakes for sure though!

Welcome to the madness. Yea, brakes are the first "weak" item on the track day junkie's upgrade list. A good set of pads and brake cooling should be your first upgrade. Then tires. After that, you get into suspension stuff...And it just snowballs from there.

Installed my gauge cluster i sent out to have new stepper motors installed. Finally have a working fuel gauge and speedometer. $78, worth every penny, and took about 5 days. Also, loaded 93 tune.

Finally got the rear brakes installed! Frign things were basically "cut to fit, paint to match". Only took 15 hours on the lift. Well, that did include a complete brake fluid flush, checking/tightening all the exhaust clamps, new DSS install, and exploring every nut and bolt on the rear suspension in search of the elusive rattle. It was really nice using a lift. This shop rents a space with lift and tools for $25/hr.

That was a pretty good deal when you consider taking it to a mechanic would have cost you at minimum $100 per hour, most by me are $120hr now.

Do you really have to wait 24 hrs for the gasket maker to cure before adding fluid? Somehow I skipped over that part in the instructions.

I've been told to wait at least a couple hours.
Toyota has a black RTV that you can add fluid almost immediately

For future reference, pretty sure this will also work on rear diff covers.

Not "my" Mustang, but I re-installed the Alcoas on the wife's Shelby, then took it for a state inspection, and had 2 new rear 305/35/20 Nitto 555R's installed. We already had the new tires, bought them last year. The existing rear tires were apparently measuring at about 2.5/32" so the place was willing to pass it, but we already had the new tires, they were already in the car, I just had them put them on, and get rid of the old ones.

Installed a new frpp intake man, Gt 500 TB, and ATi 12% OD.
Got the car on the dyno a couple of weeks ago. Numbers are up, seem that I’m getting belt slip, due to maxing out my tensioner.(and my green belt turning black) Going from a 3.30, to a 3.25 grip tec, and (if needed) a 60mm pulley on the Roush tensioner.
This is 8.5lbs@4000’

Finally got the shiny new front brake kit installed on my dirty old busted car. What a major difference. Also got a new windshield, aluminum DSS driveshaft, and an alignment and corner balance. Now to get rid of the original brake parts. Are the GT brakes an upgrade from the V6 brakes? I may pass them on to someone in need for just a few pennies.
