Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone can help me with the issue I am having with my 08 GT.

***NEW starter, NEW Alternator, NEW Ignition Switch.

Basically my car won't start, all fuses and relay's are good, when i turn the key my PATS is off so key should be good, F21 in SJB is getting power when key is on start position, from there the wire is supposed to send power to the clutch safety switch, i checked voltage and nothing goes there. If nothing goes to the safety switch then nothing will go to the BEC at starter relay and that relay won't get energized and send signal to the starter I'm thinking.

I'm running out of options and don't know what to do. The funny thing is that it started the other day I put everything together lowered it off the jack and then NOTHING, how can i fix something that comes and goes at it pleases...

I've just been working on the car to fix this issue, I haven't modified anything.

Yea same issue , reason why I started replacing stuff ..now that you mention I did have a check charging system before all this happened, I wonder if is related , or 2 separate issues

Do you hear an clicking when trying to crank it?
Do you have any scanning tools? Ultimately it is the PCM that triggers the starter relay in the BEC to engage the starter. So monitoring the PCM status, start/crank request, clutch switch, etc. So viewing that data can help pinpoint where the problem is. Any PCM codes? PATS usually throws a 1260 code if that is why it wont crank.

No clicking , pcm never sends a signal to start I guess, I don't have a scanner for that type of codes I only have a regular scanner for P0XXX CODES I used it and no check engine light codes as well

I swear I have heard clicking from the SJB when PATS disables start. Have you inspected the SJB for water intrusion?

I have not, I do hear a clicking in the SJB it's the Accessory delay Relay , but I thought that was normal ...My next thing to test is the PCM diode and manually test the relays with voltmeter, found this video and it's giving me hope haha

Forscan and ELM 327 adapter. If you have a laptop.
There are versions of Forscan that run on Apple/Android but those can only read and clear codes, and may not give you all the info a windows PC can.

This sounds like to me like there is a disconnect in the signal to the starter solenoid, like when the clutch safety switch disconnects or breaks. You said you measured the voltage at the clutch safety switch. Did you do that while turning the key? That circuit shouldn't become live until the key is in the start position. One thing I would do is to bypass the clutch safety switch and see if it will turn over.

If that doesn't work, then I would manually short across (very briefly) the secondary terminal of the starter relay (should be 30 and 87) or manually engage the starter relay (12V on the primary, should be 85) to see if the starter engages.

According to the Workshop Manual Section 303-06 offers some tests you can do.

Pinpoint Test A describes a procedure to nail down whether the problem relates to fuses, An open in battery voltage feeding the BEC, circuit 2037 (RD) or 113 (YE/LB); the starter motor relay; the starter; or loss of ground. Provided you have electrical drawings you can troubleshoot from there. My thoughts are you should check the main battery cable (incl fusible link; I have heard of them going partially bad) and chase why you don't have B+ at the clutch pedal position switch when the key is turned.

Battery voltage should be present to the starter at all times through circuit 2037 (RD). Easy check so I would look for B+ at the starter. Pinpoint Tests "A" should help you determine where/why voltage is missing (open) or you have loss of continuity/ground.

You can find the workshop manual online - section 303-06. http://iihs.net/fsm/

Word of advice: I recommend checking/cleaning all major grounds. I've experienced more issues with them and corrosion at the connection points than anything else.
