So I just sent my motor to the builder, I got stage 3 heads stage 2 cams built 302 block with a vortech blower. I’m planning to max out the blower no telling what kind of psi it will make but I was wondering if someone had the same build and what kind of numbers it made.

3.554”Bore x 3.800”Stroke
Stock compression (9.8:1)
93 pump
Vortech V7, 10% o/d, 2.85 pulley
80lbs Injectors
2x 340 fuel pumps - no return.
CompCams 127550s not sure to go with or w/o lockout or limiters, etc.
Livernois Stage 3 Head
Going with a Lito tune, I think that’s all of it let me know if I’m missing something.

Yeah the heads have upgraded springs and I emailed Lito about the lockouts because from what I read everyone recommended the lockouts.

Looks like you'll end up with ~13psi of boost so I'd say 700-750rwhp is possible.
Those cams will definitely require a valve spring upgrade, and phaser lockouts rather than limiters would be a better choice for reliability.

Return fuel systems are easier to tune. Why limit yourself? My recommendation is to:

1. ID 1050X injectors
2. Fore F2 fuel system with dual E85 pumps or check out S & H Performance for a budget return system
3. Dump the pump run E85

Build it once versus having to upgrade once you reach a roadblock. Lito prefers to tune return style systems when you get in the HP range. Injectors and Fore or similar return system is going to cost you more yes but save you by being able to full take advantage of all the power the blower can make down the road.

Plus why only stock compression?

I actually got a really good deal on the block from wht67, it was already set to stock but fully built. As for the true purpose of the car, I really love to drive it not so much to race (crazy I know! lol). I usually go the track about 2-3 times a year. If anything I was contemplating going with meth for that extra boost. My end goal would be to hit 700hp and break into the low 10's maybe 9's.

My Bullitt had a similar build. I had a new JDM stroked block, Ford Racing (Livernois) stage 3 heads (bigger valves and higher compression than stage 2), VMP TVS 1900 blower pushing 15psi, etc and put down 643hp on the dyno. Ran 138mph in the quarter low 10's.

That was using 93 pump gas ?

The 643 hp was on 93. With race gas he got it to 697 and 698 but couldn't quite hit 700.

Don't remember. Used the GT500 fuel pumps though, not a return system. Still very street friendly with all comfort systems fully functional. AC, power leather seats, etc.

I heard it many times and just blew it off, but anything over 500hp on the street is a waste and will eventually get you in trouble. I figured I was good enough to handle it but I ended up totaling my Bullitt when I was showing off and plowed into a brick wall. I could light up the tires from any speed less than 50mph. One day I lit them up at about 40mph on an empty street but something went weird and the car jumped sideways. Next thing I knew I was on wet grass at 50mph and slid straight into a small tree and a brick wall.

I replaced the car 3-4 months later with a 2014 GT Cali Special (nicer seats) and kept that car for 5 years. Never did any performance upgrades other than suspension, mufflers and a canned tune from VMP. Traded it in last year on a truck because I never drove it.

I agree with skwerl. When my car is back up and running, I'll be turning the boost controller down on the street.
Being able to spin the tires at any speed under 80mph sounds like fun until you actually have a car capable of it. Then is becomes a mixture of frustrating and dangerous. I'd have another set of pulleys for street driving.

My 2012 Boss had 444. That was a nice number. I think I'll shoot for 450 with my '08 3V. My wife loved the Boss. She said it was a 'civilized' race car. She hates the '08, it can be a little 'cranky'.

Damn sorry to hear that, right now my car makes about 480 to the wheels and with street tires it does get squirrelly. I learned the hard way not to drive in the rain lol
