Hello everyone

I have a 2014 Automatic 5.0 and wanted to know when during my build will I need to do transmission work. I've been told the autos are pretty solid for a lot of power, thoughts?

How high of power are aiming for? If your tune is perfect, more than the block will hold. Also depends upon how you treat it? We talking about the lots of track /strip time or solely street, somewhere in the middle?

Eventually (if you’re looking for end in torque/power) you’re gonna to come to a point where it’s suggested that you put in stage 2 exedy clutches & do a billet intermediate shaft. Doing these at the same time you don't have any additional labor to put the shaft in. Being if you’re not doing it yourself.

I'm aiming for 600 HP with my set of twin turbos next year, the one3 kit comes with the exedy kit package for the transmission, so I may go for that in addition to the turbos

I'm currently looking for a bit of middle ground, building it in for drag but still able to be taken out on the streets to cruise and what not

A stock trans is fine. You will need a stall converter, probably a 3B if you go with a Circle D.
