Not 100% sure, but I believe you will be required to bolt the seat to the cage. Try searching for NHRA rule book
I know of one car (Mustang) at out local track that is running 8.90's with no cage. IHRA sanctioned. Last year they told him he could not run 1/4 any more, but they can still run 1/8. He clicked off a 4.98 @ 139 on his first pass in the 1/8. I know not much help, just thought I would throw that out there.
I agree. Meeting him the first time was actually a funny story. I'll tell it some time.8.90's without a cage? Dude must have a death wish.
4 bolts to the floor and a minimum of one bolt thru the seat to the crossbar.
That's what the rule book says
Did you finish this install and if so, can you post a picture? So the seat was a direct bolt in with no muss or fuss? After talking with Corbeau and finally hearing back from the NHRA I stayed with my original seat purchase and will be getting a plate to bolt to the back for the cross bar attachment.

Thank you
I know I cant run into the 9s whotbout needing a license. And if I would hypothetically run into the 9s, the track would not let me run again. My bike is capable of 9s.
