pats/key question on 07 V6 to V8 swap

I have pretty much finished swapping V8, transmission, power train, and PCM into a V6 chassis. My question is this, I have the keys to both cars. Can I swap in the PATS detector and key cylinder from the donor into the engine recipient? I am not opposed to getting a tune to deactivate the PATS but it seems that all of the tuners that I have checked require a custom tune. I would like to at least be able to start in my garage and see if everything is working OK. I am waiting for a cold air intake to arrive and do not want to have to pay for a custom tune twice.
So can I just take the little pats thing and the key cylinder out of the donor car and move it into the recipient?
(I have a wrecked Mustang GT that I took all of the parts out of and put them into a former V6)
Thanks!

Your going to need the keys computer and gauge cluster matching unless you get it reflashed or PATS deleted. I can do pats relearn on older fords with our snapon I’m not sure of that generation

Assuming you are doing a 3v swap. In 2007 MY the PATS module is inside the PCM.
What you need is Forscan to program pats OR swap the ignition lock so the v8 keys can be used.
Cluster has nothing to do with PATS in 07. And The key thingy is just a sensor.

You could potentially take that sensor ring, and move it under the dash somewhere with the V8 key taped to it. Then just use the original keys to start the car.

I did a 07 V8 into 07 V6 swap last year. Used V8 keys and ecu no problems

Thanks I will try switching over the cylinder lock and seeing if it will start with the v8 key. I will eventually get a tune to delete the pets but a few more things I want to do before tuning it

I switched out the cylinder lock and when using the v8 key, the PATS alarm is gone. It still doesn't start, but I think I need to work on the sensor from the automatic transmission that is looking for the car to be in park next.

If it'll crank, you got pats 'resolved'. The security/lock light will flash rapidly on the instrument panel is pats is blocking starting. If the lock is not rapidly flashing, you should be able to at least get it to crank, and figure it out from there.
You could try putting the trans in neutral and see if that helps. The DTR switch on the side is the 'sensor' that tells the pcm the gear it's in. Could also be the shifter lockout, but if it was an auto v6 to start with, that shouldn't be an issue.

And just to be clear, you swapped a '07 gt drive train into an '7 v6 body, right? (I did another of these too, ealier this year)
