I recently acquired a Doca Pole Car Cleaning Kit. It has definitely made it faster and easier to clean my 08 GT. The 5-sided scrub brush is small enough on the sides to clean recessed areas like the wheels and turn signals. The broad side of the brush is big enough to clean wide swaths of your car. I don't use the mitts for cleaning because they're really not necessary. I use them for drying my car, and they work great. They don't leave streaks, and I only have to wring them out once or twice per car wash. When I'm done, I throw them in the washing machine.

For a van, truck, SUV - sure, but a Mustang's pretty easy to clean w/ bucket, soapy water, micro mit & shammy.

To each their own...your $$$.

Yes. Maybe I'm a dummy, but it I spray the dirt out of it before/after the wash. I haven't noticed any scratches in the finish.

Rog. The only advantage here is the reduced time and keeping your hands out of the water.

I wouldn't say you're a dummy, I'd say you're uninformed about the proper care of the paint, I'd suggest you not use that for your paint finishes.

the CHENILLE MICROFIBER ALL-PURPOSE CLEANING HEAD I'd suggest is ok for the paint surfaces, are you using a two bucket method with grit guards?
