Well, time for a couple updates finally! I've spent the better part of the past year or so on hiatus from wrenching on my car, this is since we moved onto some acreage out in the country, but still close enough to town. This is since my wife wanted to have animals and I wanted space to spread out and have a decent shop to work, which did not exist on our property when we purchased so I had to coordinate everything to put up a new 50x30x12 steel building. 22 loads of fill later the slab was poured 5" thick with two 36"x36" pads that are 12" thick in the center where the lift would be installed. High bay LED lighting, epoxy floor, etc. About 9 months later it was finally finished! Multiple 50 amp welder / plasma cutter plugs, air compressor, and endless quad outlets there's enough to do just about anything. Here's a couple pics:

So now back to my car, I NEVER did get anywhere with Protorque, for those that recall I ordered a convertor from them and sent it back 3 times before they just stopped responding to me, that's right they literally stole my hard earned money and left me with nothing to show for it, not even the broken convertor. I even filed a complaint with the atty general of PA where they're now located, with no results. In any case FUCK PROTORQUE I ended up ordering a real convertor from Neal Chance Racing Convertors, about 2.5 weeks later it was in my hands and actually fit and functioned correctly the first time right out of the box, imagine that! 4300 rpm stall on the TB, first try, they nailed it!

Also swapped out my old "duck wing" for a 17" Racecraft wing

Since I now live about 3/4 mile down a dirt road, which gets pretty sloppy when it rains, I cannot street drive my car as much anymore. Therefore I decided to tweak it more for track use, possibly to run in NMRA Limited Street next year. Since that class requires mufflers and 3" exhaust 12" past the collector, I made some mods to the exhaust too:

Limited Street does not allow for the air source to be from the grill area, so I'll have to remove my CAI pipe to the blower, I ordered a bell mouth to try out instead, which could possibly make even more power.

I have a CF hood coming from Carbon Feather, should weigh in about 8 lbs. I sent my injectors back to ID today to be cleaned and serviced since they sat for a long time, I don't need any issues when I lean on it again. Also will have to swap out to a smaller blower, I'm leaning toward a P1-X, which I think I can get about the same results as my F1-A given the other improvements I've made, or maybe even better. Other than that I'll have to add a passenger seat, then replace my 5 pt harness and net since my current units are expired, then should be good to go. Maybe get some new tires too.. long post but lots to update, more to come.

Haha thanks, it was a huge PITA to build that shop, seemed like the never ending story since it took so long due to covid related production and other delays, of course ended up way over budget, but the finished product is well worth it!

today I received the results from the flow testing and cleaning of my injectors. Good thing I sent them in, here's the results (BTW all the red is bad!)
Pre cleaning

Post cleaning

Two of them would not get back to spec, #1 and #8, I ended up having to replace them, here's the final chart with the two new injectors

This is similar to what happened last time I sent them in, had to replace two. At that time they recommended installing a better fuel filter, Fuel Lab 6 micron, which I did. Either I got some crap in the lines sometime when working on the system or something in the system doesn't like the e85. The only oem part still in service is the fuel tank itself. Supposedly the liners can begin to deteriorate, I'll have to keep an eye on this and if that happens might be time for a fuel cell.

New window net arrived today, the old one expired. This one is good through June 2023 sweet!

Also had this one made a couple inches smaller than the old one, the old one was HUGE it went all the way to that bolt hole on the far right that's not being used now. Need to replace the harness next and install a passenger seat. Oh, need to source a procharger P1-X head unit too can't forget that! minor detail..

So I went to the track last weekend for a private event, 1st pass blew the tires 2x, 3rd hit they finally hooked and I stayed in it for a nice ride, 10.28 @ 153.5 (2.3 second 60' time lol). Concerned that my tires are about 2 years old possibly why the tires spun so much, the 2nd pass I did a John Force style burnout through the beams and beyond, then brought it up on the brake and when I let go of the button my car moved about 2 whole inches, ugh! Following some troubleshooting determined it was something with the tranny, pulled it today, found the output shaft broken. It was a real PITA getting the DS out, since it wouldn't slide into the tranny due to the broken output shaft, I had to partially drop the rear end to get it over the pinion gear, then pull it forward after dropping the tranny.

pressed out the busted piece, it's about 4" long.

For a short time I decided it was time to go with a TH400, then after doing some research and learning to do it right will cost around $10k, I decided to go ahead and fix the 4r70w again, hopefully they make billet or 300m output shaft, at this time the tranny is in a barrel, ready to go back to FB, again. Of course as luck would have it the NMRA race is this weekend, which is now impossible for me to participate in, figures. In any case, with that mph on a really, really terrible pass, I think we made some progress, should be a heck of a ride when I finally get it to hook and go.

Those 4 speed power by the hour 6R80 transmissions look robust.

Breakage sucks but that is a nice MPH!

Thinking back, I wasn't able to lock the convertor on that pass (couldn't find the button with those damn gloves on lol) so I ran out of gear and lifted early, should be something when I get it back together and can actually make a full decent pass
