Mustang gt 2018 manifold to a 2012

I had quick question I’m trying to have my 2018 manifold bolted on into my 2012 so far I have the manifold delete plates water neck and intake adaptor is there anything else I need before I bring it to get installed? Yes I have a SCT tuner so it will be tuned once installed thank you

Pretty easy to do it yourself and save a little $$$$. I followed that video when I did my sons 2014.

How much power does this add? Do you have to disable the charge motion control system? Do you have to add a tune? Thanks!

Peak to peak it adds 15-20rwhp with a 5-10lbft loss of peak TQ, but the torque curve will be broader and flatter, and the HP curve will carry as far as 7500rpm. Peak HP is shifted to 7000rpm and peak TQ at 4600rpm with the newer manifold. The biggest performance gains are from 6500rpm upwards.
You'll need to disable the charge motion control valves, and you'll definitely need a tune.

OK, thanks for that information. I am currently running my '13 GT stock except for a Ford Performance Pro-Cal tune. That tune claims to add a net increase of 16 Hp and 9ft.lb. torque, but shifts the torque curve lower compared to stock. +60 ft.lb. at 1600 RPM. I'll probably just keep what I have as the low-end performance increase is pretty practical for a street car.

Any real traction vanishes when temps drop. All weather tires can help some. Your best bet is traction control ON, and right foot control.

Neither of those are for cold weather.
If you need to use the mustang in the winter, you should consider a second set of wheels & tires. I run a set of Cooper Zeon RS3As on the stock 17 wheels, but those don't fit over the 11&up GT brakes.

Tires matter. I am using Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ on my '14 GT. My old set had just over 36,000 miles on them and cool/cold weather traction under hard acceleration was pretty much non-existent this last winter. I could light them from a roll in 2nd gear without much effort. Time and lots of heat cycles had simply made them too hard for decent grip. I just put on a new set same model and size [ 255x40x19 ], and now it hooks up just fine.

X2, I have a set of nittos, wont even leave marks anymore and spin any time you step on the loud pedal.

Your stock throttle body is perfect for your application. It will work without issue with the 2018 intake.
