Here is a quick rundown of my Brembo full size spare project. Ordered an AMR 18x8 wheel and a 225/50/18 tire. I run 285/40/18 on all four corners, and the 225/50/18 is almost the exact same diameter. With this set up, it fits in the spare tire well at full air pressure and only sticks up a bit over the trunk floor. Also finally put my TSW Nurburgring's(18x9.5) and Nitto 555's(285/40/18) on the scale: 55lbs. The AMR full size spare is 51lbs.

I was thinking on doing this, my option for now is if I have a flat on the front, just move a rear to the front and install the spare on the rear.

That fender looks like a 2010 era, or pre 2011 when they went smooth at the wheel flare. Does anyone know how the compatibility issues change when going to a 2011 model? I really want to get a spare in the trunk for my 2011 + Brembo.

Thanks

The 18" AMRs only fit over Brembos if you statically balance them and only place wheel weights on the back of the wheel. Otherwise, the stick-on wheel weights will hit the caliper.

I just bought a cheap 18" Rage wheel from discount tire and bought the cheapest 225/50R18 Canadian tire had in stock, now I've got a real spare!

I did the upgrade to the front and rear, 13.8" on both. Forgot about the spare, glad I didn't need it.

I use run flat tires on base wheels with a 17mm spacer. I also have Brembo Wheels ready to go. One needed touched up.
