getting ready to install my ported '18 manifold an wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade throttle body as well? The inlet opening on my new mani is 88mm, stock TB is 80mm

I have CAI, long tubes, o/r x and catback. Is it still not worth it until you go FI? I've asked my tuner his opinion on the subject as well, still waiting to hear back.

Dont need it. The stock one flows more than most cars will ever need.

Agree with jewc. The stock 80mm unit already flows more than enough air for a 5.0 that revs to 7500. While a larger TB (e.g. 87mm unit from GT350) will give you a sharper response at part throttle, you won't see any significant HP/TQ on the dyno.

Unless you plan on making car road track'r, or 1/4-mile'er - no need to $pend $$$ on TB.

no, it's a daily driver. I have heard that throttle response improves. I know that TBs don't make HP, just looking to get as much of the restrictions out of it as possible.

Also having issues with idle when I push the clutch in. It will fall to 500 for a second or two, then go up to 750. It's stalled a few times as well. Doesn't do it when cold. Only started noticing it after long tube install, but I can't say for sure that's when it started.

I've cleaned the TB, twice. Replaced pcv valve and breather hoses. I've talked to the tuner, but it's AM, and I don't have much hope. Two revisions and it's still doing it.

Bama tunes suck for the coyote. I tried them and had 12 revisions, still sucked trying to daily the car.

Get away from Bama tuning, they really do suck. I have a stock TB and at 485 rwhp, no issues.

Happens to me in warm weather too. I’ve had 2 custom Dyno tunes and no one seems to have a fix. I’m going to try AED when warm weather returns. Let me know of any progress.

no e85, I only run 93 octane.
I've had the AM tune on the car since 2012, never really had an issue with it before this.

I will be getting it tuned by Sai Li near the end of Feb
