I would say $1000 worth of rear sway bar. The only issue for me, are the Boss 25mm or LS 26mm sway bars dangerous on a Base GT.
Wait, so you do, or do not want a 25 or 26mm sway bar? And it is or isn't worth a thou to do so? I'm so lost, please summarize.

Literally none of that will help you on the track, other than maybe the"Big Brake Kit," assuming you didn't get some hard parker shit.

Also, the stiffness of a sway bar is not measured in dollars. Maybe you should go do some reading of threads in the Corner Carving section before you blow a bunch of money on stuff you don't need.

Not interested in spend big bucks to make it unsafe. More interested in just the Boss 25mm Rear Sway Bar for something in the $150 to $200 range. The Big Brake Kit is really Cheap China Raybestos stuff and I took off Cheap Brazil Brake stuff made at Fordlandia. Now I am looking for a Cheap Boss Rear Sway Bar for no real good reason.

This place is about a 1.5 hour drive from me. It gives the price and what is included in this Boss 25mm rear sway bar.

Unsafe? What the fuck are you talking about?

I can't tell if you're developmentally challenged or a troll. Either way, I'm done with this thread. But do me a favor and let me know if you're at Summit Point so I make sure I'm not there to have your shit box's Chinese knock off brakes fail and run into me in the braking zone before a turn.

I doubt if you know where Summit Point is located. Ford installed Shit Box Brazil knockoff brakes direct from Fordlandia. So I just swapped Brazil stuff for Chinese stuff. Made in Brazil was stamped all over the stock base brakes. It seems these sway bars are made in Windsor Canada. Hey I just wanted to know what the story is with the S197 Sway Bars, I guess I found out your hard way.

You want an adjustable rear sway bar. A super stiff one will make the rear end super loose (lots of oversteer)... Especially if it's not mated with a matching front sway bar.

I am currently using this one... The adjustment has worked out good depending on what kind of driving I'm doing... (AutoX, Track, Street).

Here is their adjustable front bar:

I do not think the Boss 25mm would make my Base GT super loose since both use the 34.6 front sway bar. It seems that everything I read, the 25mm Boss Sway Bar is for bigger tires in the back. That is the plan for me. I already have 255-45-18 now vis stock 235-50-18s. I have been thinking of going 275 35 19s in the back. Then the instillation is said to be less then an hour. There has been reports the 26mm LS bar is too big. Even the LS uses the 34.6 front sway bar. The only real issue for me is do I order it and have it shipped for about $160 or do I order it at a local dealer and pick it up for $200. I am not welding this bar in. I actually have enough information for me now. This thread really needs to be deleted. I know, there is a GO BIG OR DON'T GO AT ALL group on this thread.

I bought Whiteline for my 09 GT , didn't think the price was to bad and now is when you will get the best price . OEM is almost never as good as after market.

He said wider rear tires need a stiffer rear bar. Which is news to me.

I guess if the object is keep it all Ford but dealer parts are over priced. You would think he would want some adjustability for the track.

At this point a lot of people aren't understanding what he wants or the why but it's his money/car!

Correct. It's a $100 front brace. Then $1000 full big brake kit all the way around with $600 new wheels and tires. Maybe a $200 Boss sway bar and $500 Track App cluster. Just a few simple changes.

Rear bars on a front engine RWD stick-axle car built for cornering are really there for final tuning of the handling balance. A big rear bar is not the place to look for reducing roll.

Same sways for me. The only down side for these is the rear unsprung weight addition.
But it does get bar out of the way of tires and rims (depending upon what you are getting).
Not tracking mine though, so I don't care much how balanced it is at 10/10ths, as long as it corners
as flat as possible on the street.
