Suspension Issues

Hey everyone, new to the forum and having some issues with my 2005 GT. I recently went to a shop that I've gone to before to get an oil change/brake/power steering flush. When it was on the rack they noticed my LCA bushings were split in half. I had no indications driving but with 127k miles definitely possible. So I replaced the whole LCA setup. Got it back and noticed a clunk and creaking going over every bump, so assumed a strut got over extended on the lift, which were also stock. Told them about it, took it on a drive to show them. Had them replace the struts, shocks, and strut mounts. Threw some 1.5" springs all around since everything was coming off anyways. Well the creak is still there, possibly worse. I can push on the front fender and easily hear it. I am taking it back for camber plates/an alignment now that the springs have settled, but I need this noise fixed. After I took it in for the sound after the LCA install, they checked and retorqued everything and said it was all in spec. What are my options here?

The Control Arm Bushings are Hydro Bushings (liquid Filled). At your mileage they have been collapsed for a long time. They need to replace them.

I know, those were replaced. I have brand new LCA's, struts, shocks, and strut mounts. The sound started AFTER they replaced the lower control arms/ball joints.

did you replace the LCAs with an upgrade or stock?

Sway bar links can make noise. ALso if the Ball Joints are too tight

Replaced with factory LCA's. I will have them check out the sway bar links/bushings. Luckily those dont seem too pricey. Should I just pull the trigger on replacing them? Or try and wiggle them round to see if there is any play. Obviously I don't want to go the route of just throwing money at random parts, but the tight theory seems the most logical. They used a 4 point lift and being a shop that does suspension, and I am assuming they torqued it down with a load on like they should. I know when you start replacing new stuff, old parts are exposed but I had zero noise until the new LCA's were put on.

sometimes new parts, with stiffer components increase NVH and all of a sudden noises you didn't notice become auditable.

Yeah, NO.

The car needs to placed on a drive-on lift, like an alignment lift for example, and the car bounced up and down by someone while a tech underneath listens and inspects for the source. Anything else is just guessing.

Ya the good thing is when I first went back after the LCA install, they pushed down on the front end and couldn't hear anything. Just tried it again yesterday and there's an obvious sound. So at least they know I am not going crazy and should be able to pinpoint what it is. Taking it there in a couple days for my camber plates/alignment and i'll be able to show them.

Dumb question, did they grease the new bushings?

I would like to think so. As soon as my camber plates get in I am taking it back. Its definitely plausible they forgot to grease them, since the sound was noticeable the day after the control arms were installed. The only difference now is that you can hear it pushing down on the front end, where before it was only on the inside of the car. IE, its gotten worse.
