I have two sensors, oil pressure and oil temp. Oil pressure has always worked, but not temp. Thinking it's my ground wiring.

In the diagram below, I have Black-2 from the sensor going to the Black on the right of the 5V Reg. The Black on the left of the Reg goes to a ground.

I'm thinking there should be 3 ground connectors, Black-2, and both Black from the Reg. Right now I only have one from the Reg.

Paragraph one of the instructions state all grounds should be connected to the same point, which is what got me thinking about the temp not working.

Thoughts?

You are correct... There are 3 ground connections in that diagram. You can connect them all to the same ground point.

They're probably telling you to connect all of the grounds to the same point so that all of the voltages in the oil temperature circuitry are referenced to the same value. Otherwise there can be slight differences in "ground potential" that could affect the accuracy of the gauge's display.

You have to have all three grounds connected, it’s not important to use a single point.

What do you have analog input description on the gauge configured as? I found mine will not work with “fluid temp” and needed to stay as “Analog Input 1 or 2”. I also had problems and emailed Areoforce. They said to try slope at 55.51 and intercept at -.21

The Interceptor gauge works great, when it works, but can be a real pain to set up.

Thanks for the input guys. The sensor is powered up but I'm not getting a good reading. thinking the slope and intercept is probably not working.
