I'll have a roush m90 lower manifold with vmp 1.9L TVS head unit up for sale soon. You just need to buy injectors, UPR fuel rails, tuner and intercooler water pump. Will come with Canton overflow tank, boost a pump, 85mm pulley, 69mm pulley, gt500 throttle body and '14 gt500 factory cold air intake. $4k and it's yours. Plenty of potential. Just ran a 10.3 with a built motor and E85

Buy it right and cry once. Buy it wrong and cry twice. There are many options for safe power adders on a 3V and you don't have to bust the bank .. or your engine. I always look at performance enhancements from a system perspective. Pick a kit in your price range and do your homework. At the end of it all, you want drivability and reliability. No bucking, stalling, over heating, or chasing codes. Power can be addictive. Once you taste it, you always seem to want just a little bit more. Happy hunting!

why would make this statement?

Have friends with this set up and have no issues with belt or tensioner if follow simple instructions and any use the Frankenstein tensioner with no issue.

Department of Boost has few different entry levels setup all the to 1400 hp set up. Good Engineering and customer service.

Don’t think you should expect issues with belt/tensioner, unless you have personal experience!
Its absolutely a common problem. I have lost the belt a few times. Once due to pulley alignment (that's obviously my fault), once due to a bad 8 rib balancer (using the recommended one from DOB/forums), once due to a broken tensioner (snapped right in half) and once for no reason that I can find (possibly just a bad belt). Other than that the DOB manifold is well engineered and has been reliable for me.

Much better to buy a complete kit than piecing one together. No Your biggest concern with an aftermarket FI system is controlling intake air temperatures. Blowing hot compressed air into an engine will always lead to detonation. The knock sensors will pull timing to protect the engine, but that will cost power. Upgraded intercooler and E85 have been the best things I’ve done. Catch can is also required. I also have DOB Frankentensioner. It’s been 4 years, 10K miles with no problems. Except when I bought a cheap EBAY belt. Don’t do that. I’ve started changing belts every spring instead of waiting for signs of trouble.

I had a Roush heavy duty tensioner brake off at the top of 4th gear when I lifted. Scared the hell out of me. Replaced it with a Frankentensioner.

Bought an On3 Kit, turbo charger kit, and wasnt too impressed with it nor comfortable with it because of reliability concerns. I am now running a Paxton Novi 1200 Tuner Kit and love it, been reliable and you can reach a good 450hp depending on injectors and supporting mods. Good luck!

I am going with the E Force 15800 and a Lito tune. It's a little more pricey but seems like a very well engineered unit. When it comes to the looks of it, you either love it or you hate it, there is no in between . I like the horsepower it makes at low boost, hopefully keeping my stock bottom end together. I'll post again after the install and let you know my observations.
