I'm close to ordering a pair of "Heat your seat" kits. I've searched different forums and haven't found any write ups or reviews on how hard it is to do add these to our particular cars. Please let me know if you've done this, how hard it was and any suggestions, or if you're familiar with this company's product.

Did you search here? I have a recollection of it being written up here

Yes, and everything I found was concerning swapping OEM heated seats into a non heated seat car.

Ive added this product to a total of three different vehicles besides my 05 Mustang. All family members. The ones in the Mustang are the oldest at 9 years old and still work. Although one of the lights on the two way rocker switch does not work. Removing the seat covers is time consuming but not really hard. The heating mats just stick on. Be sure to add a relay for the switched power source. This is not required, but it`s a good idea.

I'm going to add them, thanks for sharing your experience. I see no reason not to. My confidence level was raised over the weekend after changing the plugs without breaking any.

I put mine in years ago. Put the high and low switch on the front corners of the seat side skirts. And don't bother getting new hog clips just use big zip ties.

Thank you for the picture, looks nice. I ordered a pair from Check Corp in Michigan. They told me they're currently having material supply issues, which doesn't surprise me, and it could be weeks before they'll have them available. I'm not in a hurry, but am looking forward to getting them installed. The remote trunk release project was last week, along with changing the plugs, this coming week is installing a junk yard GM mirror with temp and compass.

The heaters came in and I installed them last week. I like the quality and instructions, a little more of a job than I'd anticipated. They're not as hot as the factory heated seats in my wife's Escape and my F150 but I'm still happy and glad I did it.IMG_2243.jpg

I did it from a cheap"ish" kit on amazon. Wasn't too hard...annoying if anything. But I kind of regret my decision of having done it since the hydrocarbon brand ones are known to fry the pad and burn holes in your seat....Chinese junk in other words.

But simple to do, wire the red cable to the battery, ground to ground, and white accessory to something like your stereo accessory wire, so if you accidently leave them on, the car still shuts them off.

Just be sure to splice in a water tight fuse housing instead of the one the kit comes with if you do mount the red positive lead to the battery.
