I have a 2006 GT with a manual transmission and a Hurst short-throw shifter. So yesterday, I was at a red light and was just playing with the shifter. I was going through the gears with the clutch in (as I normally do) and as I tried to pull it out of 3rd, it wouldn't move. I thought it was just acting up until I pulled with my entire body and thought I was going to break the shifter. When the light turned green, I rode the clutch to get the car moving and pulled off the road as soon as I could. I've seen people say their shift fork broke but any circumstance I saw it was while they were driving and under load. I was just sitting still, so I am wondering if the problem could be a simpler fix like the Hurst shifter. I am a novice when it comes to transmissions and would not like to pay to have the tranny dropped again. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
