Back and forth with MotorsportLA over specs/colors, and settled on a combo. Order in, 6-8 weeks till delivery!

went with gloss gunmetal w/ brushed face & lip:

Color:

This is my best photoshop of it compared to silver.
Original silver for reference:

Gloss gunmetal. Should give it a little bit of contrast w/o going too dark.

IMHO, part of the appeal of the wheel is the shape of the spokes and the bevels in the window, and if you go too dark you lose that and it doesn't look all that different from an AM / LMR wheel

Came in from Vossen faster than I thought. Shop is doing a QC check on them and then once good, they'll be shipping them my way!

Got the wheels, and gotta say, I was pretty pissed. Not anything about the wheels but FedEx. My wife works from home most of the week except Wednesday's and the wheels were supposed to be here on Tuesday, which she was going to be home for, so, cool. The wheel shop shipped them w/ "Direct signature required" for obvious reasons, it said so on FedEx's tracking site. Following the tracking all week, seeing it move from CA to AZ to TX to PA, all looking good. And then on Monday it just stops in PA. And Tuesday...sitting in PA.... OK fine, I had the appt to get the tires mounted on Friday, so I had some margin.
And then the wheels start moving again tuesday night, in MD, and then finally in VA by Wednesday morning and on a truck out for delivery. Damnit. I didn't have a lot going on at work that day and plenty of vacation, so I was thinking about calling out, but my wife says "Well it's gotta be signed for so OK it'll be delayed a day but I'll be home on Thursday". Go to work and around 11 I check the tracking and... DELIVERED. WTF?!?!?! SO now I'm racing home to see if the boxes were left on the back deck or somewhere inconspicuous. And guess what I saw when I got home. A nice big stack of "VOSSEN" boxes right in front of my garage. :angry1:

OK, rant over. I get the wheels out of the boxes, look them over, all :happythumbs:. Finish came out damn near perfect, they look amazing in person and fit like a glove. I put them on the front hubs and gave them a spin and absolutely no runout/wobble at all -- like they came off a lathe. Only thing that surprised me was the offset. When I was talking to the shop they said the reco'd fittments were 19x8.5+35 Front & 19x10+42 Rear, which they'd used for years on S197's no problems. It was different from the fittment American Muscle had on their site for the VFS-1's (19x8.5+32 Front & 19x10+48 Rear), but wheels are their business

When I test fit the rims, it looked like the wheels were sticking out from the wheel wells, but when when you look down the side of the car, they actually come pretty much right in line with the fenders. Maybe I'm used to the stock rims which are inset like an inch. I'm a little worried about rubbing, but I think my suspension isn't slammed, the tires are going to curve in at the shoulder, and my Konig 18's are about the same, so I should be fine.

Konigs, which never gave me a problem (and I've bottomed out the suspension a few times)

Yeah, those fronts will tuck in nicely once the suspension is loaded.

The rears, what tire size will you be going with?
The 42mm is pretty aggressive, a 305 tire might hit the fender over bumps. It most definitely will with a 40 offset (ask me how I know, lol). The 48mm would've been perfect with a 305. I've had that set-up and no rubbing!

Hmmm, I've got 285's on the rear, probably wasn't going to go any wider in there future, 285 is pretty good for the 350 RWHP I'm making right now. On the plush side I think I'd have plenty of room for a big brake kit with these

I have a big brake kit in back of stock 18 inch wheels. Tires are 255 45 18 run flats. Kind of made up my own kit.

At least in our area, FedEx isn't requiring sig's due to Covid, they are accepting responsibility (as they are still allowing and charging extra for "sig required"). Same thing happened to me, set of high end media speakers just left with a signature required.

Looking good!

WOW talk about filling the rim, those just fit!

Interested to hear about your setup and cost. Did you have to change out the master cylinder for it?

In the end it was $1000 which included $300 labor. I had them professionally installed. Because of a mistake and stuck rear calipers, I paid an extra $250. Amazon now sells Brembo knockoff front set for $130. I needed to also purchase new rear set for about the same price. I paid $200 on Amazon for the Brembo set and about $100 for the rear set. From Rock Auto I purchased Raybestos front and rear rotors and brakes. The Rotors were $40 each for the "Street" rotors which really mean rust protected. The race rotors are cheaper but not rusted protected. Raybestos expects you to replace them every race or every other race.

So Raybestos "Street" rotors all the way around $40 each for $160 at Rock Auto
Raybestos brakes all the way around about $45 at Rock Auto.
Amazon Calipers all the way around at $130 a set or $260
Set of adaptors for $100 some company in NC on Ebay.
Professional install $200.
So the total would be $700 and nothing else is needed. Do not even think of using the old calipers in the back. I reused the 17000 mile brake lines.

That's a LOT cheaper than I would've expected. Your calipers actual Brembo or knockoffs? I'm a little wary of knockoffs...you know w/ safety involved.

Don't reuse the calipers in back?

I used Callahan Calipers on all four corners. No core charge from Amazon at about $60 each. They are knockoffs. The other stuff is all Raybestos from Rockauto. The original plan was to reuse the back calipers which ended up frozen. Track Apps Cluster said street driving is .6g both accel and brake with the new kit. After three bleeds, they feel great.

Sorry for the wait, even though I got these mounted and installed a couple weeks ago, the weather and my schedule never lined up until this morning. Even still, it was 99% humidity and the lens kept fogging up, so had to throw out a bunch of shots.

Anyway, time for some pic whoring! I took a lot more than this, but you get the idea:

Now all you need is a Big Brake Kit. Make you owned from Rockauto and Amazon or go for gold at Ford Racing. The first image has the Race Only back rotor. It's really for one time use on a full race. They are $15 and completely unprotected from rust. The second picture is the replacement. Same rotor but rust protected. They are $35 each. Much better. Then you will need the adaptor for the back. I doubt you need spacers for the front.
