I sold my 2014 TrkPak and bought a 19 PP1/A10, it was a base but sticker was $46 and I bought it for $36 in June of 19 which is $10k more than what I sold the 14 for.
I had modified the suspension and had an AED tune and on the road there is nothing I wouldn’t challenge to a 10/15 mile jaunt pushing the TrkPak to 2 or three times the posted limit on turns…it was a great canyon carver but was just too ruff to drive around town, yes it was my fault for making the mods and it suffered in ride quality, but she was a fantastic looking car!
My 19 isn’t the same canyon carver but the ride is great and the 6 piston Brembos are so much better that the 4 piston on my 14, and with 15” discs they really get the job done in a hurry.
Before the pandemic hit I spent a full day at the drag strip…I started at 12.50’s and by the end of the day was rewarded with a few 11.9’s @ 117 and that’s with a 1.98 60’ time…just the way I bought it off the show room floor and only running 91.
Is the 19 a better Mustang than my 14, it’s much faster in the 1/4, but much slower as a canyon carver, but the car feels more planted than the 14 and takes less driver input when pushed hard. I’ve since changed tire sizes to 265/40’s in front and 285/40’s in the rear, put on FPP X pipe in place of the 31lb resonator and am about ready to install the FPP CAI/TB.
When I took the Myst in for its 10k mile service the Sales Manager came out to me and after some talking offered me $39,768 for my Mustang just the way it sits, that’s $3,768 more than I paid in 19, and I told him if he’d give me $45k trade in on the Mach 1 I’d do it, but he declined my offer.
Now is a really bad time for buyers of Mustangs, wait until the end of the year when housing prices take a dip, and my guess they’ll be offering discounts although interest rates will be a little higher.

That’s pretty sweet than! Good deal. So you’re saying Gen 1, stock internals, no other supporting mods or modified changes, stock exhaust etc etc. Just a longtube and running a basic 93 octane tube w/o added booster? Also what dyno and condition was this occuring? If so, I need to change tunes as I have a lot more done than that and pushing high 420/430s.
He may have installed a cai, but I believe that's it. I'll see if I can find the post where he detailed all of it. But his postings drag on for pages..and hundreds of em.

Looks like my 17 Gt performance package. I love mine.

I haven’t taken mine to the drag strip yet so I don’t know what it would run. I’d love to though.

My Gen1 put 404 to the wheels. If LTs are worth 30 hp, I could be knocking on 440 rwhp. Need to get back to the dyno!
That said, I ran 93 the first day and 87 on the second day at WGI last week. Yes, on the same 93 tune (stock file with 93 octane SCT value file applied. There was zero difference in performance or laptimes between 87 & 93.

The Mach 1 this morning. Salesman thought it was a Paper Tiger. The only thing going for it was the Tremac Transmission. The HP feel is the same between the 460 and 480 versions. This out the door was $62000.

Then a 2021 GT Performance one $8000 cheaper. Salesman thought this was the ticket. Almost blue black. Both were cloth seat versions. Bottom line, no time to buy a car.

That’s the first time I saw a new mach 1’s interior. It looks exactly like my 17 Gt but with a badge saying mach 1 instead of mustang and a digital cluster. That’s ridiculous.

The Mach 1 would be really long legged with a Tremac and 3:73 gears.

It’s not much different than the 15-17 mt82 gearing. The mach has the advantage because of the extra hp over the gen 2 coyote. Not really sure where you’re going with that.

Tremac does not have a steep first gear. It's like 3:00 vis 3.66 for the Chinese unit. I noticed that with the Cameros with the 455HP engine. Kind of long legged.

Actually it’s 3.23 but I doubt it’ll be that noticeable compared to the mt82. Now if it had the tr6060 I’d agree.

Dealer markups?

Get out of here.

Big time dealer markups and the salesman take the position that you should successful enough to afford it. Several years ago a Wow price was $10,000 under a $45,000 car. Now a Wow price is $10,000 over.

What a load of crap. That 2020 should be selling under list as it’s a solid leftover. Not to mention 22’s will be coming out soon.

And honestly OP, your 14 is a much better looking car. I never got into the looks of the S550. I’m sure it’s nice to not “get air” for half a second while accelerating over road imperfections, but not worth the styling to me.

Visual proof. One car is 7 years old and the other is new. Then GT500 brakes are only $1000 and 3 hours away.

I used to think the same thing about the s550 until I drove one. Yes the exterior is different and I think the s197 rear end is a little nicer looking but overall the s550 is a better car.

I drove a boss 302 after buying my 17 Gt and wasn’t impressed. It was gutless and the interior was lacking in my opinion. I know it’s a base Gt interior but it just felt dated and cheap.

The black Mustang GT one I drove. It is kind of a slot car for sure but I felt not as fast as my 2014. The only car I ever drove faster then the 2014 was a 2020 ZL-1 the salesman let me drive myself. It was an automatic and power really comes on very fast. It's very ez to get it sideways on cool 50 degree roads. Later I drove a Manual with a salesman and it was much easer to control. Just leave it in 3rd. I did drive a Hellcat but policy was, Black Key only at 500hp. No different then a 4400 lbs Scat Pack. Actually I loved the dark green ZL-1 but it had $15,000 worth of options I would never use. At the time, a Base 2020 ZL-1 was around $60,000 out the door. If the Ford dealer was going to give me $25000 for the 2014, I am sure he would have it on the lot at $30,000 plus. A 19000 mile one owner car never in rain or snow. Then no matter what anyone says, those GT500 brakes all around look great with the base wheels. I am sure I am going to sell my Brembo wheel setup.
