I'm currently on Bridgestone RE-11s, 275/40/18 square set up for track days. However my track days are now limited to two times a year because of work/family commitments. I'm thinking of storing the Bridgestone tires and looking for a smoother riding tire to drive about 125 miles weekly for field work. I also have the Cortex Xtreme Grip suspension with their Watts Link, Torque Arm, LCAs and Koni Yellows. Any suggestions for a smoother ride would especially be appreciated by my wife as I'm planning an 11 hour drive to Carmel for my friend's wedding.

RIP - You will be missed
MPSS in the same size. It's rated pretty high for ride comfort (8.8 out of 10 in Tire Rack's surveys from a basis of about 9.5 million miles). Seems about right from my own experience with two different sizes.

PS4S and PS AS 3+ are also worth consideration, but are rated a bit below the MPSS for ride.

Don't know how much room you have but simply changing to a taller sidewall tire will smooth thing out a bit. Thinner sidewalls will also smooth out the ride. I just put run flats on my wife's sportage and can feel a difference.

Firestone Firehawk Indy 500.. Also same size with 8.6 comfort rating based off Tire Racks survey.. IMHO, quality is right up there along with Michelin and Continental but are a bargain at $100.00 less per tire. Needless to say, I've been very pleased with the Firestones since purchasing them 2 years ago..

Yes Bridgestone Driveguard runflats give a taunt ride but I like them. They make much less noise then the stock tires which always sounded like I had a bad bearing.
