Hello everyone!
I have been playing with the idea of putting the 2014 gt 500 engine into my 2013 mustang gt. I couldn't find someone that has a video of them doing it, and I was wondering if there will be anything extra I have to do, or would it be a pretty straightforward swap?
Thank you in advance.

An engine swap alone wouldn't be enough. You'd also need the transmission, driveshaft, rear axle, uprated brakes/suspension, transmission/differential coolers, radiator/cooling fan, engine/body harnesses, and ECU from a 13-14 GT500 to make it all work.
If your aim is to match the 600rwhp that the GT500 came with from the factory, it would be much easier to supercharge your Coyote. You'd have a wide choice of installers/tuners including Lund Racing, VMP Performance, Palm Beach Dyno, and Brenspeed.

I took a ride in a 2012 GT-500. At $49,000, I was not impressed.

Yea with all that in mind, it is possible! i just balancing my options before my engine blows up. my other option would be getting a newer coyote and upgrading all the internals and supercharging it.

You would probably be better off looking for a used 13/14 GT-500. Then you don't have to upgrade anything. They were 663 crank hp..using the TVS-2300 blower. VMP sold the high flow elbow for the 13/14. It can also be re-tuned for 93 octane. You could also install the bigger FRPP twin 65mm or VMP twin 67 mm TB on the 13/14 GT-500. Toss in LT's + hi-flow cats, and the hp/tq is through the roof. You could also use a slightly smaller blower pulley on the oem TVS-2300..... or swap the blower to a number of bigger blowers, that will drop right into place. The 13/14 GT-500 came with the better manual transmission, CF DS, bigger brakes front and rear, forged eng, dual fuel pumps, bigger fuel rails and injectors, etc.

By the time you rebuilt ur existing 2014 GT, you will have spent as much money as buying a used 13/14 GT-500... never mind the time involved. One mod the 13/14 GT-500 could use is wider tires front + rear, ditto with the earlier 07-12 GT-500's. What they really need is something like 305/315 rears on a 11" wide rim...and 285/305 fronts on a 10.5" wide rim.

The 11/12 GT-500 engs came with the aluminum block, but the older M-122 (2 litre) blower. Again, the blower is easily swapped. VMP has gotten stupid amounts of power out of all the GT-500's. (07-14).

Another possible option is the Ford aluminator eng...if it's still available. Came with forged everything ( 5 L displacement)..and came in 2 x versions, 9.5:1 CR....and also 11:1 CR. Years ago, the aluminator was a bargain, at only $1K more than a 5.0 L coyote crate eng. IF it's still available, it would be a direct swap.
Then go nuts with whatever blower you want.

Just replace the transmission with a T56 and call justin @ vmp tuning to get a supercharger kit that won't leave you limp. A 2013 5.0 can hold 600 at the tires, with good gear ratios in the trans, you will love it.

Gen3 swap with a whipple or twin turbos would be a better and more cost effective swap.
