Now a million years later I have a Full Bolt-On Mustang GT with a Paxton SL2200 and is it able to keep up with a 2007 Shelby GT500? My car was purchased in 2004 as one of the first new S-197's. I have about 110,000 miles and one time it was a daily driver but hasn't for many years. She's more of a weekend car that stays in town.

if you're in the 450-475 whp area, vs a stock 07 Shelby - yes, you should be right there, CAI + tune... he'll get you

Okay, I have all the bolt-ons and Brenspeed.com is giving a plus for that with the Supercharger I thought it was kind of weird that the Shelby GT is a 5.4 with a Supercharger but Brenspeed is saying from what I see in the videos that I should be in the 530- to 560 something to the wheels. Maybe long tubes, intake manifold, throttle body, and cams help the overall performance.

:LMAO:

No way 530 WHP - if it is... start saving for a new short block ASAP.

2007-2008 GT500s were rated 500 HP at the crank, they have a lot more potential, but that equates to 440 ish to the tire.

Brent from Brenspeed explains it isn't the horsepower that breaks the block it's the torque. He keeps his tunes right at 450 pounds of torque or a tad more. Have you heard of brenspeed.com?

Get it dyno'd!
You know I don't really care about getting it dyno'd. It's fast enough for my little town in Summerville, South Carolina and I don't race but she is fun. I got it because I can honestly say these new GTs have nothing on me that is stock anyway. You are always going to have someone hand your ass to you. I'm too old for an Ego but I like to know the difference between the old 5.4 and the 4.6.

You might be closer to 500 whp, but I'd be shocked if you're anywhere close to 530+.

My car is similar, with the Detroit rocker SC cams, long tube headers, and a M122, it made 460hp/440tq to the wheels on 93. I think a centrifugal will usually make a few more ponies on the high end.

Then a few months later the same guy posting “ F$@! Brenspeed! The customer service sucks! They lie! My engine blew! Blah blah blah!

I don't think they are so bad. They are some busy people and have come through for me. Two shops one in Indiana and Texas. I had a small hiccup getting my Supercharger done, they sent the wrong fuel pump module and they sent another one in the next-day mail. They have sent me tunes for over 15 years and they were superior to all the other tunes including Bamachips which was mediocre at best.

This looks almost identical to your set up and it put down 566rwhp @ 6500rpm plus 458rwtq @ 6100rpm with a stock short block & stock unported heads:

The combination of centrifugal supercharger, Ford Performance intake manifold, and Detroit Rocker cams does extend the torque curve at the top end of the rpm range (hence more HP) compared to what you'd get with a TVS or twin screw.
The above looks like a "hero run" 'cause here's another dyno of an almost identical set up making a more conservative 518rwhp & 445rwtq.

Here's another at 552rwhp & 446rwtq:

All on 93 octane pump gas plus a Brenspeed tune.
With those sorts of numbers plus a weight advantage, you'd beat a stock '07-'09 GT500. However your engine's already right on the limit whereas the GT500 can be easily upgraded to 600+rwhp without even breaking sweat.

I am not saying they’re bad. I have no first hand knowledge of them. But I have read many horror stories. Do some searches on here.

on my 06. 2 years ago, 83k miles, bone stock, added Paxton 2200 results were 496/432

Since then tho, Did the 6 spd Magnum XL Trans, long tubes, Alum drive shaft, rear end rebuild and 3.83's, twin disc clutch, new axles.
She now goes!, stops! and turns great! MPG are nice cruising with that 6 speed!
88k now
