I believe he's actually a pilot. So tuning is a side gig for which he really doesn't charge that much for. Great value for the results IMO.

So, it's time for me to circle back here. I know that Lito is popular on this forum, but he completely ghosted me. He started taking longer and longer on revisions (14ish days), and now has completely stopped all together.

My long story short, I paid for a gas tune last summer (which is completed), then circled back and paid for the Ethanol update this spring. That one is near completion, and I can live with it (and will have to, apparently), but I did ask for a small adjustment to the 'return to idle.' He then went from slow to answer to not answering at all. I was also hoping to get a few variations of the final tune that are safe for lower E content in case my local station dropped their percentage, but that won't happen either, apparently.

When he started taking more and more time on revisions, I even circled back and sent him more money thinking maybe he felt like the amount of revisions was exceeding what he was paid for. When I did, I got one more revision about 10 days later, and nothing else. I have not heard from him since August 6th.

And before you say it:

  • I did not spam him. Each time, I have waited nearly two weeks before asking for an update. I know he claims that you go to the bottom of the list with each email. I don't know if I buy that, as it would be a shitty way to do business. Regardless, I always waited a long time to ask for the update.
  • No, I was never rude; I was always polite and our interactions have always been pleasant. Even when it was apparent he was done with me, I politely asked him to unlock the tune so I could pay someone else to finish it (*crickets*).
  • Yes, I did try from a different email address, and to both of his addresses, in case there was a technical problem. Each time, I got the automated message back, so I know he was getting them.
  • And yes, he is answering others. He is not on vacation or having a personal crisis. He is not stuck in Kabul with no internet access.
I know his knowledge of the 3V is well respected. And, you can't ignore he is the only one tuning them now that is not running scared of the EPA. But, you get sucked into his nice-guy routine and feel pretty slighted when he writes you off. My build is extensive, and it sucks to be so close to completion only to have this happen.

FYI - on the ethanol content, I've run the same tune E70-E85, as long as he tuned for 85, you'll be fine, just runs a bit richer.

It was tuned for E80. Where I'm at, the only easy source for ethanol is Sheetz. It advertises E51-E83. So far, I have found it sits at 77 or 78 through the winter, and up to 81 or 82 during the summer.

But, would have liked to be prepared for E50, E60, and E70 just in case. Oh well.

Same here. EXCEPT, I stopped at a Shell station to get a drink and saw they had E85 so I decided to top off. They had the 51% stuff and made my tank go down into the low 60’s. I drove around easy and then added some X98 I had leftover to get it back were it belongs. Most other stations vary between 70%-81% during the year with one brand staying at 70% year round. Lito gave me a 70%-75% tune and a 75%-85% tune. So I only have to switch every spring and fall basically. I’m lucky, I have 7 stations within a 5 mile radius that carry E85.

Glad I wasn’t the only one. I appreciate the good feedback he has on this forum but I’ve reached out twice to him, the first time I got an answer that turned out to not actually be the case and the second, in an attempt to give him another chance I got no reply at all.

Well, not to go down the rabbit hole and get off subject, but while it advertises it CAN be 51-83, it generally stays 77-82%. I just wanted to be ready, since it could drop down.

can we still contact Lito ?
Where ?
What is the price ?
My 2010 GT has not run very well since a 1st tune (just for a CAI) from Bama, basically was running better with stock tune.
I added hot rod cams last week and idle is not stable (850 to 950 fluctuating) at all plus lots of bucking between 1000and 2000.
If I put the stock tune, incredible but it is better except for idle dropping a little of time at 500 when coming to a stop. I don’t know what Bama did, I sent datalogs and it takes time. I still have my headers to install and don’t want to wait ages….

You should be able to set idle speed in your sct unit.

Man, can you believe bama is still around
Good point. They fuck up 70% of everything they touch. I have seen that 1st hand here in town with the other mustang owners. They all got sucked in with the...'tunes for life' drivel. The results on the dyno for hp + tq and also afr, etc, looked like u threw paint on the graph sheet. Never seen anything so screwed up in all my life.

People can still afford to modify mustangs there? 91 is $11 a gallon! $35 steaks.
