I have a GT500 cluster in my Bullitt. I’m getting ready to go boosted and I’m curious if anyone has ever heard of someone getting the boost gauge on the cluster to work.

I already have a Prosport boost gauge installed, but would like to get the gauge in the cluster working for shits and giggles.

Thanks!

We looked into it years ago, theoretically it IS possible, using an Arduino to produce CAN-BUS signals for the cluster. I have some wiring diagrams of work I did on it, Prosport gauges typically use an electrical boost sensor (vacuum/boost line into sensor, voltage out fo the sensor). This would go into the Arduino, then the range of CANBUS signals would be produced along HIGH/LOW signal wires going into the cluster. Another member made it all work for shits and giggles with a junkyard cluster and spoofed all the signals, RPM, MPH etc using Arduino made CANBUS signals.

I'm a developer and I believe I could easily do this, but how would the arduino connect to the cluster? What pin is it that I need to tie into?

CAN High on the rising edge. There’s CANBUS all through the car you can tap the arduino into any CAN line in the vehicle and only the cluster will listen for the signal the arduino gives.
