Can anyone tell me what is involved in trans swap on a 2007 GT 4.6L from stock to a Tremec 6060 six speed. I have heard that it will bolt up to the block but that I will need a new drive shaft. The Tremec I am looking at came from a 2007 Shelby GT500.

No doubt someone here will have your answer, but you're in the 4.0 specific forum. It is not overly well travelled. You'll likely get a quicker response in the '05+ GT section...

Don’t know about the 6060 but I did a T56 Mag swap and that required a crossmember, drive line and clutch disc with the correct spline.

The others have the parts list correct. The transmission wiring harness will need to be opened up as the TR6060 has the speed sensor on one side and the reverse light switch on the opposite side. The wires are long enough that no other modification is required.

You'll need a clutch with a 26 spline disk. I have an almost new one for only $200. It will bolt to your stock flywheel. You'll also need a shifter. I'm pretty sure I still have a stock 6 speed shifter. If you're interested, I can look for it.

Here's the clutch.....
