My son and I went to Wisconsin to buy a 57 Ford but wasn't to my liking and ended up with a 67 Dodge Coronet, the guy also had a clean 99 Mach 1 with a built Cobra engine I was wondering what the value of this car would be. Also what is the hood scoop from?

The Mach1 had the shaker scoop factory. And came with a 4v 4.6 basically the same engine the Cobra had.
The problem is the Mach1 was only built in 2003/04 iirc. There were no 99 Mach1s ever built.

What he said. I’d be interested to see if it actually has a mach ecu, cluster and drivetrain.

Looks like an 03 to me, the OP may have just assumed it was a 99. If the car is actually a 99, then it’s a clone.

Run the VIN...that's either (1) a 2003, or (2) clone.

If it has a R engine code it's a MACH 1. It's the 8th digit from the left. X= GT, R= Mach 1, Y= COBRA. That hood scoop is factory MACH 1. Total WAG is its probably around a $15-18K car. But you would need to know a lot more about what's been done to it. A 100% stock MACH 1 that's real clean with 50-60K on it is at least a $14-18K car. Maybe a bit more if it's a desirable color and 5 speed manual.

It has the 94-00 center console, dead giveaway. Also it should have the rear defroster switch by the headlight knob and single din center stack if it’s still a stock radio. And that color was only available for 99-00.

Edit: Looking at the pics again it does have a single din radio. And white face gauges, which wouldn’t have been swapped. I don’t think anyone even made an overlay for the mach. Also it’s an auto.

No idea on its credentials or authenticity, much less a price but it looks nice! I dig that green, don’t see green too much!

2003 MACH 1's came in Oxford White, Black, Torch Red, Zinc Yellow, Azure Blue and Dark Shadow Gray. 2004 came in Oxford White, Black, Torch Red, Azure Blue, Dark Shadow Gray, Screaming Yellow and Competition Orange. Never green. I'd wager it's not a real MACH 1. If it has the R code in the VIN, I'd expect it is a rebuilt car.

MACH 1's did come as automatics too BTW. They had cast cranks versus forged in stick shift cars.

Looks like re-upholstered Fox-body seats. Fender, grille, shaker hood scoop emblems don't match those of other '03-'04 Mach 1s. I'm not 100% certain, but I don't see the cut out for the exhaust in the rear bumper cover (without it, it's a V6 cover). Most likely just a modified '99-00. I wouldn't think it's worth much, but the used car market is kinda bonkers right now.

I’m aware there were auto machs, I meant that as someone posted saying whether it was a five speed or not. Just pointing it out is all. I’d say it’s more than likely a 99 with mach one badges and shaker. Someone used to make a kit, I’m not sure it’s still made or not.

Nice catch on the fox seats. The drivers seat is manual as well which I think was standard on the mach.

The car is nice and fast. I should of taken more pix but it had big ass tires on the back and when he took my son for a ride he burned rubber for a block. He was asking 15k for it. The guy is 78 and has a life time of cars, Besides the Mustang he had 65 GTO, 57 Chevy HT, 69 Camaro track car 66 Chevelle Big block , 57 Ford HT, 62 Grand Prix 421 Tri Power 4spd and the 67 Coronet with a 2003 5.7 Hemi that I bought. It was fun just going through all if them.

No Mach 1s were built in 1999, and green isn't a Mach 1 color, so it seems the owner has tried to create a tribute car. Since it ony has some of the elements of a Mach 1, it isn't going to be worth much more than a clean GT of the same model year.
